So the most important question – What will the merch be like?
I hope it differs from the 2009 stuff. And is a bit more lady friendly.

Please use a different t-shirt supplier than the Australian 2009 shows.

The quality of those t-shirts in 2009 was terrible. My Perth and Ames Melbourne shirts shrank from a L to a S the first time they were washed - and in cold water. The ones I got on the 2009 US leg where much better and I am wearing them regularly now, my Aussie ones are retired as memorabilia only.

The 3 tees I got were all US ones... and I got a guys one for a friend and that was a US one too..
Sizing was the only problem with them..

i got 2 shirts from perth and 2 shirts from melbs
    they get worn... alot.

they are both in awsome condition still. one does have a hole in it, but i cant blame that on the band as much as it was a beer lid.. oops!
makes much more sense to live in the present tense
  • Does anyone have a pair of tickets they can't use for the Newcastle show in March 2011??? I missed the pre-sale due to the birth of my first child and then missed out on tickets in the general public sale (Geez they sold out quick!). I am desperate to get tickets to this show so if anyone has some they cannot use please let me know - otherwise going to have to go down the ebay path and pay the jerks who bought the tickets for the sole purpose of making a profit on them.

I can only see from row EE, but the ticketek map says row AA is the very front, but still not worth $1400.

yet a business that sells tickets can get hold of 2 tickets and scalp them
    for that amount of money..

If the front sections were allocated for 10c Members this wouldnt happen..
    Doesnt seem fair.....

Being PJ Fans, we TOO would pay ANY amount of dollars for a 10C ONLY show.

if only PJ would concider this whilst planning TOURS..... :ugeek:

Ok, I am DEFINITELY not the seller, but I will say that I would totally pay that to see Ed front row. That comes out to $700 a ticket.. I'm sure I could find a friend to do that with me. Seriously, with my crappy 10C number and my suck chances at winning the lottery, that would probably be my best shot of ever getting that close. If I lived in Australia I'd totally do it. And if Ed ever comes around to the US again and someone puts $1400 front row tix on ebay I will snatch em up in a heartbeat. Go ahead and flame away, but he is my idol and I can swing $700 to see him that close

And that is the reason scalping is alway gonna be around cause there is always some one with either money to burn or very little sense who would pay that much money. you shouldn't have to pay that much to get front row or to see Ed. And why should some punk who doesn't give a Shit about Ed as an artist make over $1000 profit from him and his fans. It is basically the same as if you bought a cd, burnt 1000 copies and went and then sold those for $20 each. But for some reason with tickets it's ok or justifiable to do it.

Not having a go at you and I can understand being willing to pay that to see Ed, but it's bullshit for someone to sit at home and make that money for nothing at all. If the money was going to Ed maybe, but not some selfish ebay scalping cunt.

    Totally agree Fishy well said..........
And someone a few posts back said about a 10c only show..
Why dont they do these charge a higher price and donate the extra
to some worthy charity..or auction of front row spots and donate to charity
better than these scalpers profiteering from tickets that are in high demand..

    Nope. It's not fair.
If I had of known about those tix I would have re-morgaged.

Scalpers suck but everyone needs to put food on the table.
I want tickets to extra shows that are sold out.
How else do I get a tick to the shows if I missed out on the legitimate sales?
I WILL pay a scalper for the last LEGITIMATE ticket............................unfortunately

That's a good idea. Mind you 10C lottery for first few rows seats is the best idea of course but maybe auction off next row seats for charity.

i don't see how an eddie vedder tour really relates to pearl jams 20th anniversary. it's not really a pearl jam tour.

It's not at all a Pearl Jam tour, but it's probably because he's the lead singer of Pearl Jam? I don't know. A quick tour of Oz seems like a fun way for Ed to kick off the festivities. Get him in the mood for whatever PJ stuff is coming this year.

Did you not get tickets to any of the shows or something?

No PJ tour for Australia this year ... I wasn't expecting it anyway.

I wonder where the "20th anniversary destination weekend bash" will be?

The talk is somewhere kinda central in america, but I guess either east or west coast, I doubt it would be right in the middle off America in bumfuck Idaho.

if you were to pay attention to that, then they would only play a few shows in total this year.
