Rock Werchter was cool...first time seeing Arcade Fire and the whole vibe of the place was awesome (kinda wish i had been there for the other days of the festival)...i showed up without a ticket and just waited patiently in the resell line until i got one...no need to go through a scalper!
and Berlin is obviously a classic and will go down as one of my favourite shows of all time...the walk from the S-bahn station through the park to the venue with a beer stand every 500 meters was awesome... i even saw a guy wearing a Chicago Blackhawks jersey!
Werchter would have been cool, but tough to camp when you fly. AC fire was a suprise. Much better then I expected live.
I'm with you. I felt a buzz just as I got to the train station. Talked to some cool folks there from the UK, got off the train and buy a semi warn beer. German beer warm is much better then saw a budweiser though.0 -
we was a group of people that went to the venue with train..Greek,Germany,uk,Israel,Slovenian,Dutch,the feeling walking through the park, meeting old friends, other 10c memebers was amazing..met the Croatian group, taking the tickets and start to communicate with the friends to give the spare ticket..listening the soundcheck and all claping listening LBC,Passing the letters.meet my Greek pals with theis flag....the italian, polish groups,Red Lukin wrote:nippleholic wrote:i saw the shortened Nijmegen set (although i got in without paying because they couldn't process my credit card and there were lots of people smoking weed, so that kind of canceled things out lol)...kinda shitty there aren't more hostels in the area though...i had to stay in Arnhem and take the train in...

This place looks completely amazing!! I wish the UK had something better for outdoor gigs than the crap places we have here! That's two great Berlin venues that put us to shame..Karley wrote:Berlin also has a much similar place they could play if the Wuhlheide is already booked - the Waldbühne
...even more place for all the Ten-Clubbers!
I would love to see PJ play in this venue...
I saw Metallica there in 1999 when I was 13
I just remember being really far away, seated and I still felt the heat of the pyro fx/flames they had when they played fuel...hehe
But don't be sad - you over there have the best festival there is: All Tomorrows Parties! Still no german edition of this this year....<object height="305" width="100%"> <param name="movie" value="http://player.soundcloud.com/player.swf?url=http://api.soundcloud.com/playlists/1168750"></param> <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param> <embed allowscriptaccess="always" height="305" src="http://player.soundcloud.com/player.swf?url=http://api.soundcloud.com/playlists/1168750" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="100%"></embed> </object> <span><a href=" favorite tracks!</a> by <a href="0 -

I was probably on a later train then you. When I arrived at the venue there were tons of ppl lining up and drinking at the bar. That bar is the coolest thing ever.
Good thing I met some PJ fans on the train platform. I talked to them for a few min, then went to get on a train. B4 the doors closed they said "wrong train buddy"..whew0 -

I went to the PJ thingy in Dublin. That was pretty cool meeting people from around the world. PJ cover band was pretty tight too. Wish I knew about the one in Belin. I was there for a few days before hand. Still had a blast, but didn't run into any PJ fans until the 30th.0 -

Lol I love your username

Yes, it's pretty impressive but the Wuhlheide is awesome, too! Compare:
Waldbühne
Wuhlheide
Like I said, they're pretty similar but I think I prefer the Wuhlheide. It's just a bit smaller but the chances that you can see the band even from the last seat is pretty good. And of course, they have a history playing there, so...
I wonder what Stone thinks of this

Pretty good pictures. I was standing maybe 4th row a bit more right from there and had a good view but this moment somehow remains blurry. I just remember Stone putting his hand on Eddies shoulder and the crowd going nuts about it. In the end I was glad they didn't play LBC and did it the way they did (Black/Come Back/Alive).<object height="305" width="100%"> <param name="movie" value="http://player.soundcloud.com/player.swf?url=http://api.soundcloud.com/playlists/1168750"></param> <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param> <embed allowscriptaccess="always" height="305" src="http://player.soundcloud.com/player.swf?url=http://api.soundcloud.com/playlists/1168750" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="100%"></embed> </object> <span><a href=" favorite tracks!</a> by <a href="0
