Oh yes 3 of us. She had a great time too. It's not the price of the ticket that would hold me back, but the price of the flight. For both of us it would likely be $2000 minimum to fly to Berlin.
If PJ are in South America next fall that's a different story : )0 -

Is this a campaign or what? We need more Berlin shows! Two nights next year and Friday/Saturday for later curfews!!

2010 personal highlights:
1. Listening to LBC,Sad, Push Me Pull Me being soundchecked outside in the hot sun.
2. Getting in with a last minute shady looking e-ticket was joyous!
3. Long Road was very emotional.
4. Why Go is always fun!
5. Push Me Pull Me/Immortality/In Hiding trio.
6. Johnny Guitar into Corduroy.
7. Light Years
8. Who am I kidding, all the main set!
9. The End and Just Breathe back to back were simply beautiful.
10. Peter Buck/Kick Out The Jams
11. The entire second encore is now legendary, Unthought Known was amazing and Black was the most amazing experience.
12. Alive seemed more poignant than ever and we sung it LOUD!!!
Such a beautiful venue and I'd recommend going to this place to any PJ fan. Berlin 2000, 2006, 2009 & 2010 are among my favourite boots and I feel the band always pull something special here.Like a book among the many on a shelf...
Dublin 02 Arena - 22/6/10. Belfast Odyssey Arena - 23/6/10. London Hyde Park - 25/6/10. Berlin Wuhlheide - 30/6/10.

Which 3 did you see? If you only saw the non-festival shows do not worry. They were probably the better of the 3. Rock Werchter was cool. It's a good festival and had a great lineup, but I still would have preferred a non-festival gig.
Great time. Belfast may have been my favourite. The Italian and Auzzie fans at the front were amazing. Everyone shared pics, water and were crazy loud. Nothing like it. Berlin fans were nuts too.0 -

i saw the shortened Nijmegen set (although i got in without paying because they couldn't process my credit card and there were lots of people smoking weed, so that kind of canceled things out lol)...kinda shitty there aren't more hostels in the area though...i had to stay in Arnhem and take the train in...
Rock Werchter was cool...first time seeing Arcade Fire and the whole vibe of the place was awesome (kinda wish i had been there for the other days of the festival)...i showed up without a ticket and just waited patiently in the resell line until i got one...no need to go through a scalper!
and Berlin is obviously a classic and will go down as one of my favourite shows of all time...the walk from the S-bahn station through the park to the venue with a beer stand every 500 meters was awesome... i even saw a guy wearing a Chicago Blackhawks jersey!2003: Buffalo, Toronto

Sad would have made a great addition to the setlist...maybe instead of WWS but I only say that because I have seen this one 3 times this summer...but with Come Back and Comatose they played my favorite Avocado tracks (much better than the 2009 choices Unemployable and Severed Hand)<object height="305" width="100%"> <param name="movie" value="http://player.soundcloud.com/player.swf?url=http://api.soundcloud.com/playlists/1168750"></param> <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param> <embed allowscriptaccess="always" height="305" src="http://player.soundcloud.com/player.swf?url=http://api.soundcloud.com/playlists/1168750" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="100%"></embed> </object> <span><a href=" favorite tracks!</a> by <a href="0 -

In 2008 I saw Radiohead at the Wuhlheide and what can I say? The best thing about it was the support act Modeselektor (I JUST LOVE THEM!). I already saw Radiohead twice in 2003 and they were much better. Some bands just don't work in an open air setting and there were plenty of idiots around, too. At both PJ gigs in Berlin on the other hand the people seemed to be in trance the whole concert, everyone was totally into it and you could tell that each one had the time of their life (in 2009 I acutally walked around a bit and stood/sat in different places).
Berlin also has a much similar place they could play if the Wuhlheide is already booked - the Waldbühne
...even more place for all the Ten-Clubbers!
