    When my kids were little we celebrated St Nick too, the first Monday night in December I think. They would put out their stockings and St Nick came and filled them.
    It eased the long wait a bit with a few new trinkets. Although those lasted about a week if we were lucky.
    I think we had a few no sleep Christmas Eves when you could hear the pitter patter
    of little feet up and about all night :lol:

    Yep starting this weekend but I got in the closet and got some stuff out, that's the hard part!
    Fun part is the decorating, its like nesting ;)

    decorations: i wait till after i take down the autumn wreath and that doesn't happen until after thanksgiving...but that doesn't keep us from doing all the other fun stuff...even thinking about what we're gonna do is fun!

    and it certainly doesn't mean we can't start making cards and gifts and stuff now..thanksgiving is only a stepping stone and a lot of yummy food...and probably at least 5 winter pounds ...ah what's another 5 lbs right? geezuzzz...easy on the gravy there...

    More Christmas decorations are going up this weekend !!!!

    I just picked up a "fresh" pine wreath and put it on my dining room table with a red candle in the middle of it and my entire - dining area smells like - pine trees .... love it.

    I may have to get more of these :D
