He is not from Texas, he lived here for a long time, but he's about as much of a Texan as say Dirk Nowitski is, I mean he's lived in Texas a while and lives in Dallas and plays for the Mavericks.

Amen and thank you. I have said "Bush is not from Texas" so many times and people just continued to post ignorant statements about Texas and the South in General. I am happy for those that get to see the south shows that they are playing. Unfortunately, I still cannot afford to travel to see the band. So, if they don't come to Houston, Dallas, or Austin, I got to go a longer wait. It sucks to not be able to afford to travel and do nice things for myself, (Like traveling, and just leaving for a few days to relax) but that's my life as of right now.
I really, really want to belive this. I have had several emails from people telling me it is a lock, but still. I am trying for the Boston show on Thursday. I remember how we were royally screwed on the last tour.

I'm with ya man. Pearl jam in Dallas is a blast. I've only seen pj twice, but considering they don't tour our neck of the woods, that's pretty good. I know people that are still waiting to experience the live greatness of pj. I thought the 2003 show in Dallas was excellent, one of my most favorite shows ever, great setlist too. It's a shame the Texas shows don't get more love on here.
Hopefully we will all be rockin at Smirnoff or superpages?? now in September. I have a feeling it will happen. The venue wouldn't print that in their coming attractions if it wasn't going to happen. Venue info leaks first most of the time. I'm really hoping they schedule two additional the weekend before ACL if they are the headliner. Let's hope for the best.

I'm going to try and call superpages by Wends. I have to work real early the next few days and won't get home before they close unless they have a show scheduled. Maybe they will help get the info we are seeking since it's already been printed on their coming attractions news letter.
For what it is worth, 102.1 the Edge just mentioned the PJ show this morning. They cited the same email we have seen and mentioned that they can't give the date because the band hasn't officially announced, but said it would be late summer.

I hope all of the Texas theories are right. However, this is what I am afraid is happening. Pearl Jam was considering ACL and decided againist it. They had arranged for shows in Texas around ACL and the Dallas venue published it. IN the meantime, Pearl Jam for whatever reason decided not to do ACL maybe because they want to record in the studio after the mini tour or maybe something else came up. So the plans for Texas were scrapped because it no longer made sense to have shows in Texas and nowhere else in the Summer. I am afraid this is what went down.
you can buy either a 3-day pass wristband, or a 1-day ticket. the latter doesn't give you 'in and out' privileges from what i remember, in case you wanted to take off and come back for whatever reason. 3-day passes were available on the acl fest website the other day. they'll sell out quickly and the price will increase once the lineup is revealed.
I feel for you guys down there. I think the band is at a point where touring isn't their top priority due to family and age. I hate to say but they may do these mini tour to places they enjoy more than others.

I really hope you're right about those dates. My brother is getting married that weekend so I'm busy the 26th and 27th. The wedding is in Dallas.
But if they were to play Dallas on the 25th and then ACL on the 28th well.......that would be golden...GOLDEN!
