    2003, Detroit, night 1. Open air venue, general admission seating on a hill. Encore 1 has the best long rambling speech ever....Encore 2 speech, more to the point. Pre-Soon Forget, Ed with the telecaster Ukelele:

    "....And i'm not trying to make any judgements, but for all you pot-smokers up on the hill, you really need to get one of these (ukelele)..........you can just......(rolls head spacey, strums his uke....)......"

    Encore 1 was actually way funnier, when discussing the very large sponsor signage around the stage, drew a line between Big Boy restaurants, freedom of speech in newspapers, and Sheryl Crow liking dildos. Really worth a listen. Such a great show that night.
