It's easier than the framing store tells you it will be. Just takes precision measurements and time.
I had a blast doing it and I take a lot of pride out of the color choices I made and the craftsmanship that goes into it.
I'm happy to share how I did it.
All the links return 'moved or deleted'. Can you please repost the links! I'm really interested to see your framing/matting jobs! I have a TON of stuff I'm getting ready to frame and I usually use americanframe.com but, like you, I've got a lot to do at once suddenly - lots of good poster art has gotten my attention lately.

Thanks a bunch!
Sure... Let me know if these work. They seem to work fine for me.
Perfect! Thanks a lot! Your matting jobs are AWESOME! I LOVE using color mattes, too! I have all 4 EV solo posters that I'm planning on hanging on the same wall in a square with the silhouettes caddy corner from one another and finding a common matte for all 4. Really great work! Maybe I'll give this a try myself, I'm not creatively artistic but I am mechanically artistic.
yeah, these links work great, not sure why the earlier ones didn't. Nice work! Where did you get the two smaller "Into the Wild" posters (or whatever they are) next to the EV Chicago poster? did you frame your vinyl or something?

Yeah...I framed my vinyl. And the other one is just one of the mini movie posters.
those ev posters look awesome over the bed frame, great job getting them finished
i had a similar issue with my vic - wasn't in love with it, but i fricking loved the show - its not hideous though and its a great reminder of one of the best shows i'll ever go to. so that bitch is getting framed for sure...
...might end up in the bathroom, but hey - its gonna get framed.

Right on. Me too. That show was the best of the best.
Post the pic whenever you get it done. I'll do the same.
Muchas gracias regarding the EV above the bed. That poster is my favorite of them all. That deep dark blue is beautiful.
did u frame just the vinyl cover and store the record itself in a sleeve?

This had me laughing - my boyfriend has a framed Phil Lesh & Friends poster from their first tour - autographed by each member - hanging behind the toilet. I never noticed it until he pointed it out really - 'cause girls don't really stand and pee - but I thought that was a cazy place for a poster! He says he wakes up to it every day and loves it. Boys!

I recently framed an autographed jersey because I found a frame for $25. It is just the back of the jersey with no sleeves showing the numbers.
The EV auditorium theatre poster looks cool. That is one of my posters at the top of my list to get framed along with the Vic show.
