LEXINGTON, Kentucky — Supporters of a Republican U.S. Senate candidate wrestled a woman to the ground and one stepped on her head after she tried to confront the candidate in Kentucky.
The incident happened Monday night in Lexington right before a debate between Rand Paul and Democratic opponent Jack Conway.
Lauren Valle of liberal group MoveOn.org, told Louisville station WDRB she was trying to give Paul a fake award when his supporters took her to the ground.
"These supporters were not very nice to me and my message, which is the same as everyone else — I just wanted to get out here with a sign, but I got my head stepped on," Valle told a reporter from Louisville's Fox41, which posted footage of the incident.
The footage shows Valle's blonde wig being pulled off before she's pinned to ground. A man then puts his foot down on her head. Valle said the incident left her with "a bit of a headache."
A police watch commander said early Tuesday that she didn't know if any arrests were made.

I think that most supporters of his would look at this and on face value call the people idiots and say they do not represent the majority of his supporters
I would definitely like to hear an explanation of why these jackoffs did this. when will people realize that not reacting is always better than overreacting

it doesn't have to say tea party, it said rand paul, who is supported, chiefly by the tea party, this is possibly the stupidest defense i have ever heard, is there anywhere i can nominate it for an award??
Let's not be naive. It doesn't have to be stamped on their foreheads for it to be true.
loving the pun
Well when you are part of the problem don't bitch about others...just stay on your feet.
seriously? if that is what you believe than the media has done their job in shaping your perception of reality. Who's to say that those guys weren't plants. The fact that this person is affiliated with Moveon.org speaks volumes about this incident. Has anyone heard from the jokers involved?
when are liberals and democrats going to just start getting out their agendas and policies and support their candidates rather than putting way too much effort into denigrating the tea party and not enough into supporting their candidates.

I find it funny you whine about the media and moveon.org while defending women beaters...
"The fact that this person is affiliated with Moveon.org speaks volumes about this incident"...I guess she was asking for it, huh...
here is what I said earlier:
"I would definitely like to hear an explanation of why these jackoffs did this"
but you are right, I am clearly defending these two and their actions

I guess we don't know if they are plants...I suppose we can simply discount anything by saying "oh yeah, how do you know the person wasn't a plant?"....world problems solved....
My guess is they were reenacting the Aqua Buddha incident...when Rand forced a women to bow down to a false god...
oh, those silly plants....
I do have to ask, what sort of explanation would make those fellas behavior ok..?
no wait, that was Aqua VELVA...
"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."
that is so far from what I was saying you have no idea. In this age of gotcha politics and "journalism" it wouldn't surprise me in the least, it isn't like it hasn't happened before. Their is a new tmz like attitude towards politicians. Those republican college kids trying to provoke an aged congressman comes to mind. I cannot remember the specifics and don't want to look them up.
Like I said I would like to hear from the two involved. It looks terrible, but there may be an explanation for at least the first guys behavior. the stepping on the neck/head area would not be explainable. If the guy saw someone trying to rush a political candidate he may have thought she was there to harm that candidate, especially someone wearing a wig(disguise). You never know, and until more is said about the story we won't know. You just cannot jump to conclusions based on a small snippet of video.

Why not a plant? It's happening more and more... It's a technique perfected by the FBI and CIA in turning peaceful protests and rallies into chaos, and therefore reason for forced dispersement. In today's world of sound-byte, out-of-context, and short-clip news being taken as gospel, this is a great way to discredit an entire movement as people buy into it hook, line, and sinker. It doesn't have to be sanctioned by a candidate or any official PAC either, it can be anyone just acting on their own interests. As seen above with the racist "Rand supporter" it only takes one person to pull this off.
Do I know that the guy who stomped out the Move On.org lady was a plant? Beats me-- but why rule it out? Politics is a dirty dirty game.
thanks for posting, interesting. People really do get carried away. Hopefully this will be a catalyst for people in the country to realize that politics should not go to blows and the hatred and vitriol spit out is unnecessary.
glad to see Rand Paul's campaign distancing themselves from this guy.

I'd say that puts the "plant" discussion to rest.
But seriously? Blaming the cops, and then saying it wasn't as bad as the video made it look? How many ways can you interpret watching a man wrestle a woman to the ground and then stand on her neck and head?

what are you but my reflection? who am i to judge or strike you down?

when you told me 'if you can't beat 'em, join 'em'
i was thinkin 'death before dishonor'
Let's face it, this was a deplorable act by one person who in know way represents what Rand Paul would have done. I'm sure Paul is just sickened this happened.
...are those who've helped us.
Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.
Right. Anyone saying that the Tea Party as a whole is like this one individual must think all Muslims want to fly planes into skyscrapers.
Not all of the Tea Party but i big % has shown plenty of Aggression and threats to all who don't agree with their rhetoric , Did you see the latest from Christine Odonnel while she was on a Radio Station they threatend because they didn't like the line in :?: :?: :?: ...
