Creativity= they know it is illegal

    Stupidity= a misinterpretation of desperation

We still have to close the borders, though. 310 million and growing.

    So they are
Expecting? This is not the same as doing.

If you read the actual article, instead of just the blurb provided, you would've noticed the sidebar that showed 21,000 illegal immigrants were deported during Obama's first year in office than were deported in Bush's last year. The 2009 number was a record, and the 2010 number is on pace to shatter the 2009 number.

As for the raids, the article also says fewer raids are being conducted under the Obama administration, but more effort is being put into auditing employers suspected of hiring illegal immigrants - they're finding those illegal immigrants by finding inconsistencies in employee documentation.
And I listen for the voice inside my head... nothing. I'll do this one myself.

    Yes. A few.

How much are we (Americans) to blame? Examples: American business men that hire illegals in order to avoid paying taxes, higher wages, and health insurance. American addiction to illegal drugs - not pot, but real drugs, such as cocaine.

Why is it a bad thing to be in favor of closing the border? If for nothing else, for the serious problem of overpopulation?

What is the best solution to this problem? I am looking for details here, not just "send 'em back tot Mexico" or "Patrol the border."

    that is the solution IMO.
the cartels fight and kill over drug profits if it's pot or cocaine and they're coming the US to kill and protect their business so something has to be done and closing the border is a great start.
it's obvious the Mexican government can not protect their own people or them selfs for that matter, it is a government so deeply corrupted that secretes on a bust can not be trusted to the police or higher government officials and the few that are trustworthy are killed in public by the cartels.
so yes close the borders up ASAP and patrol them with BPA's and the national guard.

we should send a US special forces unit or 2 over there and start wiping out the drug cartels and ALL it's associates and members.

I have to disagree with you on this one. I could end this problem in one single day.

    1. Militarize the border with troops from Iraq and Afghanistan.
    2. End the war on drugs.
    3. Legalize marijuana (but allow companies to screen out candidates for use)
    4. Stop all foreign aid to Mexico.
    5. End NAFTA.

    I'm a man of reason :D
and I like your ideas, maybe nobama will make a move on this just out of desperation to show America we will not be pissed on by mexico or it's drug cartels anymore.
his popularity has turned to crap and with this and the volcon lake killing on the mexico and Texas border he looks more and more of a wus,Bush would have run a hot iron rod up their ass's.
