If I see a person who appears to be white with blond hair and blue eyes I could get just as nervous with those thoughts.

I know of a blondish white guy who blew up a federal building. Would it only be normal then to get nervous around white people in those situations as well?

Hey listen did you hear me say anything about blowing up an F-ing plane? I said I could get nervous about those thoughts and those thoughts could be ANYTHING. Which could as simple as not listening to flight instuctions or being nasty/impolite to the attendents.
This also includes Asians, Hispanics, Native Americans and Black people forgive me if i left out any others. This includes both male and female of ANY race or religion. I don't pick one over the other including whatever religion they believe in. They ALL have the capability to make me nervous IF let their actions do so.

Doesn't the First Amendment only protect you from the government interfering in what you say? Last time I checked, a corporation (like NPR) was allowed to fire you for publicly saying Muslims scare you.
This is the ABSOLUTE point that whiners like OP keep forgetting. Juan Williams was not prevented from speaking in any way, shape or form by the government. The first amendment applies to the government itself, and does not prevent an individual from facing the consequences of his actions. People need to stop using "free speech" as an artificial shield of cowardice to hide behind. This situation isn't about free speech, it's about free markets. Williams said something stupid which reflected poorly on his employer and he was fired because of it. Case closed. As a free market society, we should be applauding NPR's decision.

By your logic, don imus called the women's basketball team " a bunch of nappy haired hos." He wasn't saying it as a fact, that's just how he felt. So is that ok? Just because you speak your mind doesn't mean your thought should be free of repriscussion....and this is not the govt. I know plenty of people who've been fired for saying the wrong thing to a customer at work. It's all relative, so this is not an issue of the free speech being taken, it's a matter of knowing what to say and when to say it. You can disagree with the grounds he was fired on (i personally don't think they made a mistake. he seemed to come off as more emotional than logical) but you cannot claim this as a person being stripped of his free speech; besides, he's got a cushy job at fox news where he just got a 2 million dollar raise.
Whether you like the statement or not its overshadowed by the big lie at the end.
When are people going to realize that this is a nation of nepotism (Bush) and that the path to the American Dream has roadblocks for those that are not privileged since birth. Rags to riches stories rarely occur, and the rich and privileged just get richer and more privileged and the poor get fucked.

c'mon people, this is very logical stuff.
As yes, common sense and logic.
There are a lot of people in Al Qaeda, and everyone in Al Qaeda is a Muslim, so therefore all 1.84 billion Muslims might be in Al Qaeda. Sounds reasonable to me.
But...
There were a lot of Nazis with blond hair and blue eyes, but since they haven't blown up any planes in years, all people with blond hair and blue eyes are safe.
However...
A blond haired, blue eyed person blew up a federal building in Oklahoma City. Since there was just one of him though all people with blond hair and blue eyes are still safe.
I guess that means Martin Bryant (murdered 35 people), Robert Wagner (murdered 11 people), Elfriede Blauensteiner (murdered three people), Stephanija Meyer (potentially as many as 200 murders), Paul Bernardo (3 murders), Gilbert Paul Jordan (10 murders), Gesche Gottfried (15), Jeffrey Dahmer (17 murders), and other blonds, who, when you get right down to it, really do have more fun, are nothing to be afraid of. After all, how much harm can a lone blond person really cause?
Sounds like common sense to me.
And I listen for the voice inside my head... nothing. I'll do this one myself.

I would hope that if there was a serial killer was on the loose, that an FBI profiler would start to initially develop leads on white males in the late 30s / early 40s with blond hair that keep to themselves. That would be a good start ... to review past cases, determine similarities, and start to develop a profile on the suspected killer.

true, but information outlets are controlled by private institutions.....shouldn't they have to uphold the constitution? seems there should be some check on private institutions.
this a is a huge sidestep of the constitution, and its encouraged....look at the intelligence gathering budget, 70% of it is outsourced. they don't follow the same rules, they don't even have to follow any rules..... these are companies that are spying on you and i and the constitution need not apply. if they are going to be given that much power, they should be given a check as well.

You mean beside the fact that he attends Christian churches and has birth records stating he was born in Hawaii? That's more evidence than the conservative lunatics have, which amounts to nothing more than, "He has brown skin and a funny name!"
Good point. His presidency has been just as transparent as he promised it would be. I guess that explains why he's so good at uniting people.
