For me, this is not only Pearl Jam's greatest song, but quite possibly the greatest song ever written. It's weird though, if you ask me what my favorite PJ song is, I won't always say Black. What's really crazy is I will often skip it when it comes on the radio or my iPod. It's something special, I feel like if I "use" it too much the magic might wear off.
I think an honorable mention for your list would be Atlanta 94. Ed is so effing powerful in that one. The only thing holding it back from one of the all time greats is the lack of a long solo by Mike. Regardless, you can hear Mike shredding at the end while Ed is singing: "I don't think, these people understand... We belong together, together..."

Looking back in terms of the other PJ shows I've been to, it is lower on my list... but for pj that means nothing. it was still amazing of course. Shorter set but some real gems and it was freezing so that's probably why. The debut of I'm Open was awesome.
I'm about to be 21 now, and I believe I was like 13 or 14 at that show. Me and my buddy, I'd say a full year before that show just went insane into PJ where they became my fav band... so the build up for it was huge. Before the show we each picked a completely shot in the dark song we wanted to hear the most. My buddy Dave picked I Got Shit and I picked Sleight Of Hand... They played them both. It was so surreal we completely lost our minds. After 14 shows, including all 4 Philly 09 shows, that is still the only time I've seen Sleight Of Hand.
