Wasn't there a Barenaked Ladies song about this back in the mid-90's?

Finish the renovations on my house, put some away for travel, buy myself some shoes and bank the rest. After the shoes I would imagine I wouldn't have much left

Pay off mortgage and quit my job so I have a cushion of money while I look for a new one - that I actually will like.
Then take a little and buy a really fast bike, like an Specialized Roubaix or Tarmac from the S-Works line. Invest whatever is left; maybe some travel.
half to charity. ive been wanting to put a verandah on the front of my house, so id do that. plus i need some bookshelves.
I've always said I would do that too, if I ever won a large sum of money, give half to charity - specifically The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation - I have a niece and nephew with CF, so it would make me very happy to be able to throw a decent amount of money to that particular foundation.

I'd probably spend $50,000 on a car and $500,000 on a house or condo... use the last $100,000 on traveling
maybe donate some... but probably not
