Mmmm, not sure if I learned anything.

Oh! Did learn that an old man in an old house with no heating can be incredibly generous and won't let you leave his house until you take a bag of potatoes with you, wouldn't accept any money either. Just a very kind person.

I've almost got the mustache part long enough to curl it up like Rollie Fingers or some old-timey boxer, haha.

But that'd be something new i could learn today as I know not how to do so. I'm thinking it wants a pic off the interwebs, but I've managed to keep myself rather anonymous.

Light travels at 186,000 miles per second

To leave planet earth's orbit & gravitational hold, you have to reach "escape velocity", which for earth is 7 miles per second.

"Escape velocity" for a black hole is faster than 186,000 miles per second.

Which is why light cannot "escape" from a black hole.

Just to sidetrack a tiny bit...I've heard that if you talk to your plants it's been proven they grow better, quicker, and are generally more healthy.

    Anyone heard of this? Thoughts?

Yes, supposedly, it is the increased carbon dioxide that you are emitting. Also, plants like classical music better than rock...there is a book that shows that water reacts differently to music as well....I'll look for it for ya 8-)

Good vibes at my place. I've had a dragon tree for 2+ years now and it grows like crazy.

Although I've tried to care for a sego palm and it died :(

My current sempervivum is having trouble too.

    Hummingbirds can't walk
Hummingbirds use their feet only to perch and must fly to move even a few feet.

They migrate as far as 2,000 miles to Mexico at speeds of 25-30 mph if there isn’t a tail wind (up to 50 miles an hour during an escape and 63-80 mph in a courtship dive).

On cold nights the birds lower their temperature from around 108F to 30F to conserve energy.

Hummingbirds have about 8x binocular vision and can see your feeder from about 3/4 of a mile. 8-)
