Nice, I was the Rickey Henderson of little league - 24 out of 30 stolen bases, including six at home, not bad for a singles-hitting first baseman.

    I hated the 80's.
I graduated high school in 1986

I was as appalled then as I am now at the
    shitty clothes
    and shitty music.

I was embarassed at the music that was on the radio.

Except for Safety Dance & C'mon Eileen.
Okay well maybe Tainted Love by Soft Cell was alright too.
And Billy Squier but THAT'S IT.

When the 90s came around I said OH, so THIS is what it feels like to have decent new music be released & be old enough to be aware of it.

(as opposed to the music that was released when one was in diapers, or before)
  • Times were so much simpler without Pearl Jam.

    so are the 90s and

what do you call the next decade

    The zeros?

    What?

My brief foray into the 80's wound up with disastrous results. I donned a pair of parachute pants for the first time and was promptly bitten by a german shepherd. Rightfully so. After that, I waited out the rest of the decade in my cave.

Quit picking on Newman or he'll change his name again. I have enough trouble keeping track of the 5 regular posters in the AET as it is.

The 80s? Can't remember much. :P But my Mum really liked Sweet Child O' Mine, which I think was released the year I was born. And that must've stuck with me somehow, cause I really like the song.

Similar for me. Graduated in 1984 and it was the early 90s before I stopped being stupid.
