because the OP has been listening to all of the hype that the Jets have been getting during the preseason. I agree with you though, I think Flacco is a much better QB than Sanchez

    Switch Flacco and Favre...

Favre is about 10 spots too high on this list. this isn't Favre from 5-7 years ago, he stinks now.

and Roethlisberger is too high too - he is about 10th. he is not better than Aaron Rodgers and Philip Rivers for sure and can make the case for 3 or 4 others being better than him.
  • Are these rankings based simply on ability or on actual numbers?

If numbers (ie, for fantasy football), Cutler has to be top 10. He has Mike Martz as his offensive coordinator now, which means he's all but guaranteed 4000+ yards and 25+ TDs (see Kitna, Jon).

He already put up almost 400 yards yesterday. I have him at QB or backup QB in all my leagues this year -- I have no doubt he's going to help bring me home a handful of trophies.

I'm not a Favre guy, but he did have his best year statistically speaking last year, so he seems to still have it.

And are all the goofy spellings on this list on purpose?

The spelling shows that this individual did all of this by word of mouth memory. Impressive! Some of these spellings actually made me laugh, as did Big Ben and Mark Sanchez's rank. Anyways, Micheal Vhick should be at number 4 now.

Im thinkin the mods must be busy getting updated on all the new news: Bridge school and brief West Coast leg, followed by a S. America leg...along with the new double disc release that we all want. Otherwise this would have been moved by now right!

I give Pittsburgh credit.... They seem real pissed at him and not sticking their heads in the sand. It's obvious he's a creep.

Not really. I know it's easy to hate on him because of what a douche he is but he gets the job done in big games....unlike guys like Tony Romo and Philip Rivers. Hell, even Brett Favre and Peyton Manning have failed miserably in the playoffs way more times than they've succeeded. As far as quarterbacking talent, I'd put him only below Brees, Manning, and Brady (like the original poster did). But as far as being a human being, he seems to be on the Mike Tyson level.

  • Matt Hasselbeck should be in the top 15 at least....he's a 3 time probowler.

Yeah his numbers aren't the most impressive but you could stick any QB ahead of him in that list behind the seahawks O-line for the last few seasons and get the same if not worse results.

Yeah, he stands to have a ton of yards this season!
Other than the INTs last year, he put up some very solid numbers last year. That with nobody to throw to, an O-line to protect him, and the most conservative play calling in the history of the game.

Now they have an actual offensive coordinator, and a little more seasoned WRs.
    I don't see 4000, but I'm saying 3200-3500 with 28 TDs.
Too bad the o-line still sucks ass! :x
    He's easily top 10.
