Very nice letter and sentiment yes but they never made good on what the letter promised so as nice as it was, they didn't back it up. So in essence while trying to make amends for things they did wrong, they did something else wrong. They can't win
I'm sure they mean well. 0 -
meaning well is really the basis of it, intentions are good, life is imperfect.0

of course nothing is perfect but when you have fans going around saying this is the best fanclub in the world it's kinda hard not to point those imperfections sometimespandora wrote:meaning well is really the basis of it, intentions are good, life is imperfect.Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight

But that's what fans do, they point out the best in their club, accept the imperfection, same with their favorite band they are a fan of. Fans are the loyal supporters, there's enough critics around, fans build up not tear down.metsfan wrote:

If a mistake was made, leave it at that, everyone makes mistakes. That was an awesome apology letter with very good intentions. I always go back to the fact, 10C doesn't have do all the nice things they do for the PJ fans, that comes from the love and appreciation the band has for their supporters.0 -
Problem wasn't that they told us about Big Bold and Free, it was they now pretend it never existed. That part is pretty weak IMO.0

That being said, we have high hopes that you will like us a whole lot more when all is said and done. We are planning to do something for our members early next year, to follow the release of the new record … something big, bold, beautiful, and free! So hang tight and enjoy the ride with us, continue to provide us with your input, and continue to spread the PJ love.
Hello??? Wasn't the 1st Deep issue released in early 2006, right around the time of Self-Titled? Timeline fits, & I thought that it was & still is big, bold, & beautiful (tho not entirely free
). <a href="http://www.facebook.com/camragirl" target="_TOP" title="Colleen Halsdorff Palacios"><img src="http://badge.facebook.com/badge/601453432.7240.30463077.png" width="338" height="84" style="border: 0px;" /></a><!-- Facebook Badge END -->0 -
BIG, BOLD, BEAUTIFUL & FREE!!
One of the biggest " :roll: " moments in Ten Club History. Several, like Given To Dragonfly have suggested Deep was the answer...if it was 10C attempt at BIG, BOLD, BEAUTIFUL, FREE...they should at least tell someone...lol.
BIG, BOLD, BEAUTIFUL & FREE!! It will go down in history...I Know All The Rules But The Rules Do Not Know Me.0 -
it wasn't deep. that's their 2 issues of their band newsletter that states comes with your ten club membership. now it's only 1 issue, but whatever. I still have my order form that tells me what I got with my paid membership, and it states two issues of Deep, so that wasn't it.Gimli 1993

Yeah, but it used to be none. 2006 was the 1st year of any newsletter.<a href="http://www.facebook.com/camragirl" target="_TOP" title="Colleen Halsdorff Palacios"><img src="http://badge.facebook.com/badge/601453432.7240.30463077.png" width="338" height="84" style="border: 0px;" /></a><!-- Facebook Badge END -->0

Gee, I wonder why 10 club no longer announces any kind of news until it's absolutely concrete....0

You say that like they did previously. I have been in the club since 1999 and it's always been like this. Other than the rumor pits (which were awesome...i would love to see those again) they have always been tight lipped and late on delivering news.0 -

There have been newsletters for years. Dating back to the 90's. Just a small sampling:

To the people saying it's not as big deal that they said we were getting something.....if you got the weekly Target circular and it promised you a free CD with purchase, would you not be somewhat mad if you got to the register and they just ignored the free CD and wouldn't talk about it when you asked what happened?0

Oh, we've only been in since '99, never saw/received these.hopethatuchoke wrote:Given To DragonFly wrote:Yeah, but it used to be none. 2006 was the 1st year of any newsletter.

I think I see Deep as more of a mini-mag than a newsletter, haha.<a href="http://www.facebook.com/camragirl" target="_TOP" title="Colleen Halsdorff Palacios"><img src="http://badge.facebook.com/badge/601453432.7240.30463077.png" width="338" height="84" style="border: 0px;" /></a><!-- Facebook Badge END -->0 -

I highly recommend trying to get some of the older ones. Some really cool stuff in them. You might be able to find scans of some of them online.0
