Worst Pearl Jam Song

Because they're not perfect... Speed Of Sound of Backspacer is definitely one of them... if not the worst. I just don't like that sad intro combined with the general slow tempo of the whole song, it leaves a bitter taste. Your results may vary, but I'm sure there's some songs you don't like.

Speed of sound - it was a good one in demo version, but not on the album. I always skip it.
    And Stupid Mop.

And for me, maybe not the worst, but rather not my favourite - "Jeremy". Sorry, Jeff...

Not sure if it's the worst, but Other Side would be one that I could never get into. It just sounds very generic and uninspired. Only my opinion though. Add to that some of their throwaway songs like Hey Foxy Mama, Bugs, Mankind, Pry,To, etc.

Possibly so, still, gotta be proud of the fact that everyone's replies have been quite respectful. No true nastiness.

Not that any of these are really bad (I don't even skip them when I listen to the albums), but some of my least favorite include (aside from the "non-songs"): Parachutes, Gone, Other Side (sorry eMMI), Speed of Sound, Dissident, Low Light... Really though, I don't deeply dislike any of those songs, it's just that the others are so much better! :)

How people don't love Other Side (and Speed of Sound (album version too! I don't like the demo as much. :P )) is absolutely beyond me. :geek:

Yeah, I'm a big fan of all these songs. The diversity of some slower tempo songs along with the rockers is, I think, what makes Pearl Jam really great.

haha I know there are some Other Side lovers out there. I just could never get into it. It's by no means an awful song or anything; it's just one PJ song that has always underwhelmed me. Hell, Other Side 100x better than anything on Top 40 radio, though. I was just as shocked to see Nothing As It Seems and Off He Goes (my FAVORITE PJ SONG) in this thread!

I love Evacuation. It sounds like a Fugazi tune.

As far as the worst song, I guess it would probably be something off Lost Dogs, but even the worst song can be fun on occasion. Sweet Lew ain't great, but I don't turn it off.

I have to agree that the Speed of Sound demo is much better then the album version.
