Mike Smith should really be fired for his decision making...4th down and you go with an empty backfield after they already stuffed Matty Lice on a QB sneak on 4th down earlier? Horrible...combine that with his decision to go for it at his own 29 in OT arlier this year against NO, I'd can the dude.

So as you might guess I was on the Falcons earlier.

Propped Heath Miller for over 39.5 receiving yards, 4 plays inso the game he has 41, with my luck he'll catch a screen for a 2 yard loss and blow out his knee.

Also teased Steelers Pick, Under 43.5 and N. Ill + 10.

Yeah, I really don't know what Mike Smith was thinking going for it on 4th down both of those times. If they kick FGs and make them it's a completely different game. There's a difference between being aggressive and just being dumb.

Nice prop w/ Miller there. I bought the 1/2 point and took the Steelers at -7.

I love the Texans today. I'm glad that I put that in earlier in the week at -3. Looks like it is up to -4 everywhere. Not sure about the late game....may just go with the over, but that is such a huge total.

i'm with you. got it at -3.5 yesterday. figure it could be 4.5 come kick off...

kinda like the saints tonight. i think they blow them out. lions had a good year. gonna end tonight though.

like the dogs tomorrow....the more i think about the falcons game, i see them winning outright.

i think the late game's gonna be an ugly 13-6 slug fest. jumped off the tebow train at the right time a few weeks ago. still, tough to resist a home dog in the playoffs...i think they will keep it close with mendenhall out and ben still hurt. i wish dawkins was playing though. will be a small play probably.

    2-0 to start....

today i got falcons +3.5, buying half pt...will wait to put in late game. slight lean towards the tebows to keep it close though. not sure.

also small tickles on the saints +265 and falcons +2000 to win the conference.

and just for the hell of it, threw in a small 6 team teaser...hit first 3 yesterday (texans +4, over- saints game 52, saints -2.5)....got falcons +11, over- falcons/giants 40, and steelers pk today.

    good luck to you.

god bless tim tebow. also hit big on the steelers 2nd half line to put me in the red for today. good weekend.

    what a fucking game

Friggin Harnish goes down with an injury with N. Ill first down on the 12, and they don't score...I have N. Ill as the 3rd piece of a parlay of Over 185 Milw/Phx, Mighty Ducks -1.5 pucks (=175) and No. Ill -105,,,The hoo play hit, Ducks are up 6-3 in 3rd, and No. Ill was about to take the lead and Harnish (and my parlay) get knocked out of the game...damn.

Abd Harnish is back, and NIU up 8 at half.

Do I hedge on Ark St 2nd half???

Line is Ark St -2.5...could theoretically middle it if NIU ended up winning by 1 to 5 points. Did that once a couple years ago with Celts/Lakers game.

NIU Deferred and gets the ball to start the 3rd...I'm gonna forget about the hedge and just stick with NIU . Plus I need to get some sleep. Night all.

  • Thinking about switching from Bovada to 5Dimes. Not getting enough NBA money lines on Bovada and it looks like 5Dimes has more options in terms of teasers. Plus their MLB action looks a lot more enticing. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm into it more for fun. I don't place wagers over $20 and love teasers.

My advice is never do teasers.

I have an account with sportsbook.com that I used to use from time to time for futures bets. I don't trust those sites. There is no regulation on them. They could shut the site down tomorrow and there is nothing you can do to recoop your money.

I'm not familiar with either of the sties you named, so I'm no help

I've been doing the online thing for years. There are a group of sites that have been around for over a decade. I feel pretty safe, not that I deposit huge money anyway. Here's a good website that reviews the different sites...

    http://www.ussportsbookreviews.com/index.php

I assumed most everybody who posted in this thread was doing the online thing. Maybe I was wrong? I used to get to Reno and Vegas a few times each year, the online thing allows me to save money on those trips and place bets any day of the year.

Not sure what others do. My bookie is online. Best of both worlds

Really hoping the line tonight gets up to 3. I think LSU wins again. I'm checking out the props now. Will post my plays shortly

Like Fixer, I deal with the old neighborhood bookie, but now online instead of using the phone. I think its the way a lot of bookmakers have gone now.

And I'm a bit surprised Bama has suddenly emerged as a favorite tonight.

Props aren't super enticing, much more fun looking at props for an offensive type game than this one.
One that does look good is AJ McCarron -45.5 passing yds over Jordan Jefferson...McCarron outpassed him 199 yds to 67 in the first meeting, Jefferson has thrown for over 100 yds only twice this season, against Arkansas and Western KY jelly.

I like the over tonight (don't think I'm going to bet it, but I think both teams end up in the 20's). I see your point though.

richardson is +140 to score a TD in both first and secod halves. I think that almost looks too easy.

The line I will be watching is NO/SF. I could see that getting up around 6. I like SF in that one...brees chicken arm usually doesn't do so well outdoors. Hopefully it will be windy in the Bay Area

I think the time to grab NYG is now, they are always a popular play in Vegas and I can see that line dropping from 9 to 7.5 (but not to 7), and I think the public currently loves the Saints and knows little about the current version of the 49ers, so I agree that line will rise from 3.5, though not to 6, probably to 4.5 or 5.

Be intersting to see what happens with the Satan vs Jesus line, I was kind of shocked it opened at Satan -14. But since Holy Rollers can't bet, it may not drop, and Jesus may be a good value, though I don't think I could bring myself to bet against my hometown Satan in the game.

    haha, awesome post

my guy hasn't posted the nfl lines yet  . I agree that if you can get the NYG at 8, now is the time to jump on it.

prob right about the saints line...6 is a stretch. no real difference between getting 4 or 5 either.

I have been waiting all year to bet big against what I think is a weak pats team. I don't think this is the week. unfortunately for me, the AFC is full of turds, so I might not get my chance. Maybe the super bowl I guess.
