yeah, for making really stupid mistakes...like leaving your queen open....damnit... :(

Done that a few times...quite embarassing really when the opponent has no hesitation. You then know they that witnessed you send her to the chair...

Yeah, I played a newbie once and they missed the opening...I pointed it out when it was my turn...

and Chad...you'll have to talk to the Old Man before you can pawn/sell...

That's the thing...you execute and tell them of their error so they can learn. Chess is competitive, but not hateful. The worst mistake is pointing that out to someone before their turn is over. Done that a time or too....when stoned. :P

that's usually why I don't play when I've made an 'attitude adjustment'...I'll just sit and laugh.

Chad....I have never played with the timer...they bug the shit outta me. I hate being timed, maybe if I played with someone at my same level I'd try...

Timers are something I've only played with in tournaments. I didn't really find it necessary. I know for a tournament they are, but really...I think chess is a time consuming game and that there is nothing wrong with that. Any true chess player realizes the time and thought it takes to make a move as every play is important. I just take my time and if my opponent gets impatient, well...tough shit. I'm always patient with my opponents. It becomes tempting to leave the table for a beer, drink, bathroom break, but I try my hardest not to until it is my turn, so I can assure I don't miss anything.

Anyone ever play 3-person chess with the circular or trianglular boards? Was thinking of trying to get one for Christmas and was wondering which is better.
