I don't wanna make the trip out there unless pearl jam is playing at least 2 hours. Anyone have any clues as to how long their set will be?

Thanks

  • They will probably play exactly 2 hours, not much more. I think it will be very similar to their set at Lolla b/c even if they are granted more time - its the end of a long night and I don't think they'll go much beyond 2 hours and by that I mean at most 2 hours and ten minutes

they are going to play the fucking best 3 hour set they have ever performed in their lives........

  • bonnaroo headliner sets are L O N G... 3 hours min?
    I miss you hippiemom.
  • Radiohead played two and a half in 2006. Considering they don't exceed two hours very often that's a long RH show. So I'd expect PJ to play at least two and a half hours too. Not bad for a festival, if only I was going...

they will play more than lolla, because the curfew is not as strict

actually Saturday night would probably be better-they could play all night

When was the last time they played a 3 hour set? Their arena shows are now 2:30, if your lucky once in a while they'll play 3. They ain't youngins no more - don't get me wrong I really hope to see them play as long as possible, but I wouldn't get my hopes up

They will play at least a 3 hour set. Pearl Jam is not going to get stood up by any other band. They aren't bringing all their shit to Tennessee to fill a 4 hour time slot with 2 hours of music.

    It will be special.

They will have the 9pm-Midnight slot all to themselves, so it is up to them to do whatever the hell they want with it. I'd expect 2 1/2 hours at least.

They are playing Saturday on Sunday.
  • I'm sure they will play for 2 hours. When they played Lolla the organizers extended their set so they could play an entire set.

The schedule won't be posted until well after tickets go on sale. It will probably be posted a few weeks before the festival. However, we know Metallica is playing on Friday, and Jack Johnson is playing on Sunday. By process of elimination that leaves Saturday as the only remaining day with a headliner slot to be filled by Pearl Jam.

You really think Jack Johnson is going to be a headliner? I would think they are going to give that to the Allman Brothers.

JJ is third on the bill, and he can bring a big crowd at Bonnaroo. I understand that he doesn't seem like a headliner, but he could be. The only way I see him not headlining Sunday is if another big act gets added later.

Pearl Jam is playing Saturday night. Headliners are pretty much given free reign (there is no curfew,) so they will play for as long as they want to.
Liberace was great on the piano but he sucked on the organ.

very true, not sure I'm sold with him closing out the fest, but will draw a big crowd...the which stage was packed back in 2005 for his set
