Why is the entire VFC movie on REM's Web site and not the 10c???

It's very cool that REM put up the movie. But why in the world hasn't the 10c done this? They haven't even put up a link for a clip on the site yet. They also didn't post anything on the board about the You Tube link. And they haven't announced anything about when/where this will be available.

The movie looks amazing. We've all waited years to see this. And now we have to watch it on REM's Web site? Unbelievable. And, to quote EV, "WTF?"

Thanks for looking out for us, REM. 10c? Hello?

Why don't you just watch it on the rem site? What's the difference? You know where it is now, just watch it there.

It's quite possible that while REM got a copy of the video since they were a part of that tour, REM did not get permission to post it on their site but went and did it anyway. I'm sure the intention was to show the whole thing on the PJ site, but as the PJ email said last week, they were trying to decide the best way to get it out there. Looks like REM might have jumped the gun a bit. No harm done really, we get to see it either way. But I wouldn't go throwing stones at PJ for not showing it first unless I knew the whole story. When you think about it though it's not a big deal anyway really.

Pearl Jam probably didn't want to put it on the site because no matter what they probably get tired of 10c people finding something to gripe about. I mean if they put it on DVD, I bet people would bitch because it isn't intertactive like a POV porno dvd or something. I bet they really get tired of us.

  • I don't care which band showed it first. Thanks to the OP for letting us know.

That was flat out awesome shit! I love the way this was filmed, to me it made it feel more historic. Pearl Jam is kinda good!

(what i believe to be) eV's Lincoln is priceless, figuratively speaking of course.

having just watched the stream from start to finish over on REM's website, i have to say this DVD is likely going to be my favorite PJ release in video format. i've never, and likely will never, see the band this open and willingly exposed to its' audience on video, not to mention looking so comfortable in the process. of course previous releases have set the tone, but this footage kicks things up a notch :)

just finished watching the movie...love the setlist they picked out, although i would have loved a full version of cortez...the jam with neil was great. all the punk covers were great. seeing jeff and ed vote was also cool...but it is weird to remember how optimistic i was that day, and how let down i was that night...tough stuff...

on the whole, it was a bit short (here's hoping for a dvd release with extra songs!!), and the super 8 filming was a bit too grainy in spots (although i liked the atmosphere it provided). glad they are putting it out FINALLY!!! now just release the '95 movie and i'll be happy...until i want more.
