Why are some PJ fans so dumb?

I was in DC1 in the front of the balcony. Yeah, the catcalls and requests were annoying. The "Go Cubs" call from my right during the update on Tomas Young's status was probably the worst of it. But here is the thing, it was a great show, Ed controlled the crowd, and I don't get the impression he walked away feeling sorry for himself or prepared to never do this again.

Ian MacKaye has been heckled so many times in his life, and he always turns it around on the audience. I recall an Evens show at Fort Reno that I attended several years back. It was right after Nike co-opted Minor Threat's image of Alec MacKaye. Ian began the story griping about that, and ended it with, with all of the outpouring from fans that have come out against something so small as this, imagine if we could put it to real use, like to end the Iraq War.

Don't like the hecklers much? Why don't you write Tomas Young a get well card and send it to him, instead of fretting over the frat boys in the crowd. It is what Ed asked of the DC1 night fans.

There is an address supposedly printed in the program, but of course the programs were long gone by the time we made our way through the line.
