I have a couple of questions...
Why is AT&T dropping the coverage? Taxes? The taxes are higher than the cost of the infusions?
Who was paying for the infusions? The Insurance company that provided the coverage for AT&T employees? How come no one is angry at the corporations and insurance companies that are dropping coverages in order to preserve the billion dollar profits?
    ...
And just an observation... those people sitting around, cheering for the angry mother... are probably the ones getting Medicare/Medicaid and driving around new SUVs. How about them only taking the care they need instead of taking all that they can because it's free?

um excuse me but you don't know if I have or not . For your information I have been reading it. It's 2,074 pages. It's not exactly something you can read in a short period of time.

Because they can't afford it would be my guess just like the other companies that are getting screwed. Why should she be mad at the ins companies when the reason is the healthcare bill. Almost everything Obama promised about this bill was a lie..

and how do you know the ones clapping are the ones driving around suv's ??/

look the bottem line is this bill is going to be a disaster and there is going to be rationing and your going to have faceless bureaucrats making life and death decisions.

http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/201 ... c.htmljust the threat of Obamacare causes rationing

As an Ovarian Cancer survivor, I tried in vain to convince my liberal friends that Obamacare will make it more difficult for cancer patients to receive access to new drugs and treatments. Why would we want to install a UK or Canadian healthcare style system when their survival rates are so much lower than ours, I would ask? I'm not one to say I told ya so but I recently received two alarming emails from the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance, OCNA. I received the first email shortly after Donald Berwick was installed as Obama's controversial Head of Medicare.

Provenge, a vaccine to treat the recurrence of prostate cancer, has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The vaccine is made from a patient's own blood cells with cancer cells and an immune boosting substance. ... However, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is still reviewing whether it will cover Provenge, and at what rate.

... with respect to Provenge, it appears that CMS is arguing that while the treatment is safe and effective, it may not be reasonable and necessary. For the first time, an FDA approved anti-cancer therapy may not be covered by Medicare.
And today I received this email:
The Ovarian Cancer National Alliance (OCNA) and Susan G. Komen for the Cure(R) today urged the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to continue to allow the use of the drug bevacizumab, commonly known as Avastin, for metastatic breast cancer patients, noting that it is effective for many individuals. ...
OCNA is concerned that an FDA label change will further restrict access to Avastin for ovarian cancer patients. Many women with ovarian cancer are receiving and benefitting from Avastin, although its use for ovarian cancer is "off label." These women face another worry: Medicare has already rejected some requests for Avastin, one of the world's most expensive but widely used cancer drugs. OCNA argues that Medicare and its contractors should pay for anti-cancer drugs that are listed on the approved compendia for Avastin.

apparently not on the same planet as you where you say you were raised to treat people with respect and to not yell and bitch at them....as long as they agree with you, otherwise yell and scream at them and put them down, because we all know that's how you come to an understanding.....on my planet i think you should even give those you disagree with respect and talk to them as a person.

she didn't call frank or obama a nazi, she thought the health care bill was comparable to the nazi health plan and as i stated in your thread where you thought frank's actions were funny i do not think the policy is close to a nazi one but the fact remains that is not how you talk to people. if you had a kid and they asked a stupid question would you be ok with a teacher or adult screaming at them and calling them stupid? instead of putting her down he should've calmly told her how she was wrong instead of being an enormous prick.

agree to disagree, especially since i think frank acted like much more of an ass or buffoon than this lady did. both have flawed arguments but hagan didn't start screaming at her and saying talking to her was like talking to a brick wall and what planet did she spend most of her time....she tried to be civil.

as i said, i think it's ridiculous to think this health care bill will lead to rationing care and the government killing granny but screaming at the person isn't going to change their minds, if anything it will strengthen it by making them think they were trying to bully you into shutting up.

to each their own. i think both frank and this lady were obnoxious to different degrees. it's not lumping everything as the same, it's about what you said, treating people with respect, did barney frank do that? no, but apparently that is acceptable because she believed something she heard on glenn beck?

Im just curious do either of you have children ?
I don't, but my point is when you have people that are going to be making decisions that will effect the health of someones kids, you better believe you're going to see a lot of emotion coming from them. Most of the elected officials if not all that voted for this bill did not even read it. Even stretch Pelosi said
we have to pass the bill so we can see what's in it.

of course we wont see all the negative affects it's going to have until 2014,but I guarantee you all of us are going to be affected by this horrible bill in one way or another.

It isn't just liberal women who hate Sarah Palin (I'm a guy, btw) - it's intelligent PEOPLE. She's dumber than a box of rocks, doesn't understand the first thing about the Constitution, seems far more interested in promoting herself than doing any real work (how else do you explain quitting halfway through her first term as governor to go on a book tour and film a reality show with the John and Kate woman), and is generally a walking disaster.

Yet somehow there's a faction of the conservative movement who think she walks on water. How out-of-touch with reality do you have to be to think she is in any way qualified to lead a nation?

As for the "conservatives are better looking" argument - beside the fact that that is completely irrelevant when it comes to determining who is and isn't a better potential leader, it's also functionally retarded. I have seen the email that gets sent around about that, and if you honestly think Ann Coulter and Laura Bush are more attractive than Olivia Wilde, then you are insane 8-)

That being said, the fact that 90% of the women Fox hires are all thin bottle blonds pretty much shows you where their priorities lie. Attractiveness > intelligence.

(And, for what it's worth, my wife is a registered Republican who swears she will switch sides and become a Democrat if the right elects Palin to run for president.)

sorry man I thought you were a chick
as Obama would say "Let me be clear " Im not a real big fan of her either.
as far as her quiting through her term didn't it have to do something with all those ethics violations she was being charged with. Im not condoning what she did,but maybe it was best for the state of Alaska and it's citizens. You do have to take into consideration that she was a govenor and she had something like a 60% approval rating.. Just sayin

as far as the better looking comment goes I was just being stupid. With that being said most Of the women on Fox If Im not mistaken happen to be attorneys. So it's not just looks.
and no I have never seen Olivia Wilde..
