Awesome win for Vandy and Clark Lea. 1-60 against top 5 teams.

Had to be amazing day for their players, students, alum, and fan

College football is so much fun
(Even if the team I love to root for is fraudulent!)
Perhaps that is why @Wobbie chooses 37 teams to woot for in every sport....

only two of mine played yesterday. THEosu rolled. somehow utah state gave up seven TD’s in the first HALF. how is that even possible?

utah, ohio u. and wyoming all had the week off.

Big 10 officiating is even worse than Pac 12 was.  So fucking poor.
That is not why USC lost- they lost because of a bad pass at the end of regulation where they would have set up a nice kick.  (And not being able to stop that monster TE all game)
Doesn't change the fact that one obvious and one pretty clear Pass Interference call out of the 3 plays they ran in OT were both missed and not called.
Last week, the officials overturned the game winning score and admitted after that there was not proof on the replay that it was a TD....but they overturned anyway.

    Puzzling.

That said, SC deserved to lose both games for not winning when they could put things away and for not playing sound defense.

Football can be very frustrating.

I like Penn State, hope they keep winning.

Lincoln Riley not using his timeouts in the last minute was baffling.  He made James Franklin look competent

    He is a moron.
That stated, what he was doing was obvious.  The announcers were morons for not just calling it out.  He wanted to play for a winning kick and didn't think getting too close was necessary.
The QB throws that relatively simple pass and Rileys plan would have worked.
    Kick as time expires.
Who knows if the kid would have made it, but that was what Coach "Offensive Genius " was doing.

    His coaching is offensive.

I get that but was still going to be a long kick.  And I’m a guy who never trusts kickers as overtime showed.  Really good game though.  Agree on the pass interences missed in overtime. That being said only saw the 2nd half but seemed like they let a lot of contact go all half

And the kid ended up missing in OT, so your take looks solid.
I actually didn't mind that, because the defense just gives up everything at the end of games.
He's a fucking sham, though.  Good at coaching QBs, for sure.  SC was running the ball well, but he can't resist passing.

I’m a buckeyes fan but it was just smart coaching. poor sportsmanship is faking injury to slow down an offense and (correct me if I’m wrong) I think THEosu has done that…along with plenty of other coaches.

They are both examples of poor sportsmanship

I'm sure sometime in the last 120 years of football,  an OSU player has faked an injury.

I think Lame Kiffin and Ole Piss are the most egregious abusers of the fake injury. They were beating us by 3 tds in a game where we couldn't do anything right and he's still telling his guys to go down. It was amazing that their big d lineman Pegues (sp?) looked like he needed his leg amputated about 5 times, but then would be perfectly fine after sitting one play.
