I just moved here to the Palm Beaches FL and we live out west in an equestrian community next to the everglades and our moonlit nights are spectacular. I can go for a midnight moonlight ride as it's sooo bright it's like the sun with sunglasses on. 8-) No need for a flashlight even though I still carry one just to spot the many various animals out here. Out here I've now seen 2 shooting stars in that we don't have much street lights or light so the the stars shine so bright.

    Peace
those pics are beautiful, wow, thank you!
Sounds very nice there in FL 8-)

and yes the boat really brings it to life... I've got a painting of the sea under thunderous skies on my "nameless" wall, and although there is no figure in it, there is a shape of one, which I believe is me, swimmin out, leavin everythin and everyone behind and headed to another world... and it's not a negative thought... it's just a thought : )

long time back, my ex girlfriend had drawn a picture of hills and lil colourful houses from a bird's view, and after it was up on my wall, with her persmission of course, I drew two lil black figures, almost just dots, out in the distance... that did a lot for me ... I need help : )
 we all need help thank goodness for that!
When you said about the hills and little colorful houses I thought of Bermuda. Each little house a different color side by side on rolling hills. Pink sand beaches, crystal clear water even at 15 feet deep. What a lovely island and the stars are magnificent. Whistling tree frogs at night make you laugh and the night sky unbelievable. The local people so very friendly, they truly like tourists!

reminds me of this image in my minds eye memory from when I was in the Navy oh so long ago. Sailing (aircraft carrier) amongst the Japanese Islands in the dead of night.
Mountains blacker than the sea, rising from the sea like icebergs , sky lit in a similar way to your pic.
Just beautiful. One of the few "at sea" memories I have left. Drank most of them away.
