Yes....All of these are framed. They all have the same black metal frames and glass. When I framed them, I wanted it to be about the poster and not the frame, so I went with simple and the same with everything. Looks like these....

not a bad route to go if you don't care about the "value"

the simple frames are great too... some people try to compete with the art with 5 mattes and whatnot

You know....At the time I did it, I was 99.99999% I would have them forever and value was the last thing on my mind.....Wouldnt have thought I would be where I am now....Hindsight is always 20/20 as cliche' as that sounds... :|

 .... You're not the only one with those thoughts Norm. I do the same thing.

I only ever dry mounted one poster... my mother suggested it way back in the day and I went with it, thought it was a good idea. I still have the poster, it sits in my closet (and it's not a PJ, or anything remotely valuable)... but I'm glad I didn't get into the habit of doing that with everything I bought.... :D

My brother however has a rare Rush tour poster that's been dry mounted.... I curse him for it, but hey, it's not mine!

Here's a good luck with the sale bump!

Ugh, this drymounting thing is my current headache too. I, too, get all of my PJ posters framed the same way (simple black frame, no border/matting etc) and recently I took one back because it had a goddamn hair under the glass only to have them open it up and for me to find out that it - along with the other dozen or so that I've had done there in the last year! - had all been drymounted when I specifically asked them to SKIP that one step in the process. Alas...the owner of the store is doing me the favor basically selling them on my behalf as I scrounge around and try to re-buy all of the actual posters to have them re-done properly. That all said, anyone in NYC who is at all interested in taking a look at what I have "for sale", the following posters are all up for grabs (and several are on display at the gallery noted at the bottom):

    Ames:

    Brown:

    Hampton:

    Rossit:
    San Fran 12/31/1991 w/ RHCP & Nirvana

    Soto:
    MSG#1 2010
    http://www.expressobeans.com/public/detail.php/122344

Anyway, many of these are at this location if you're local:
    Quality Art & Framing, Inc
    909 2nd Avenue (btwn 48th & 49th)
    NY, NY 10017
    (212)826-2693

I'm most upset about the Klausen AC'05 and the Rossit than I am the rest of them combined, I think. Anyway, all of these look gorgeous and were MINT (or very close to) upon the time they were framed. I'll probably start another thread on my own to promote these, but this thread seemed like a start...

    thanks,
    Greg

  • if i hit megamillions, i'd want:

    hartford 2006
    mansfield 2003 (7/11/03)
    mansfield #1 2010

what do you use for pricing? the average overall price? the average 6 month price? (i'm not a big fan or believer in expressobeans...my opinion only)
I love to turn you on

I do look at it, but mostly go with what I have seen on the bay or I do ask some poster people....Anything framed, is simply going to be $100-$150 (depending on the print) shipped which is basically just the cost of what I paid to frame and the poster is free..lol....As far as unframed, just depends. We can try to agree, but I am def not asking market for anything....:-)

Is there anything there that isn't dry mounted?

There is a lot of interesting posters there, and they look great, but dry mounted is not my thing....

 Still there's some awesome prints there, and i hope some people see beyond that, still it maybe a bad decision in perspective but the people who want them hang them (and not to profit from them) would be interested. I'm going to take a tour to see if there's anything I want 8-)

And douche is such a strong word, douché (in french) sound more classy :P
