    paw prints on the doormat
    I was too immature to understand
    the vine wraps tight
    around her throat
    I know its not her fault
    every now and then,
    I just get this way
    tethered to a stake
    in the front yard
    the graffiti is starting to fade
    it should be warmer than this
    I'm warmer when she is near
    beyond that,..
