I am extremely jealous of anyone who attended Lolla this year to see Soundgarden. Their performance looked like it was the best performance of any band I've ever seen. I wouldve easily skipped the Newark PJ show had I known it was going to be that intense. The band was as tight as a drum. Songs I would have never thought chris could sing he sang amazingly. (head down, searching, gun, alot of older songs)

Seriously, look at that fucking stage! That is the most incredible looking stage I've ever seen. And just hearing how freakin loud it was just makes me wish I could go back in time.

I was there last night, and it WAS INCREDIBLE!!

such an amazing concert, the stage backdrop actually changed half way through the set too.

They preformed so well, really tight, Cornells voice was right on key, and just as good as it ever was!

It's funny, the title of the thread, cause last night me and my boyfriend just kept turning to each other and saying..."fucking soundgarden!!!"

I'm an envious son of a bitch right now...

Hoping they'll brave it and do a NA tour and hit the West coast. This would hands down be a show worth traveling for.

i heard this today, but didn't see him last night, and cant see him looking back at the youtube videos, so i think some journalist got it wrong along the way!

Have seen it on a couple of setlists websites. Would be a strange one though, i didnt know Jack Irons had anything to do with Soundgarden as such. Thought maybe Eddie might make an appearance at some stage though.

rushed a gate around 815 with 40 other pepole when i heard them going on..booked 100 yards and jumped a fence and ran my ass off. got pretty fucking close and was in heaven. Ben's bass and matt's drums were sooooo god damn powerful. I can't believe how spot on cornell sounded throughout the set. They didn't take much time in between songs either; i've heard a lot of good things about arcade fire but i can't believe that their set was better....slaves and bulldozers was one of the coolest fucking endings to a set. This band needs to play more shows. I love their albums and wanted to see them but couldn't believe how good they are live.

Why? I like both bands but have seen Arcade Fire and have never seen Soundgarden before. I would choose them easily over Arcade Fire, who I know I will see again many times anyways.

Overblown indie bs. They got a few tunes that can really soar live, and I gotta give it to them they give it their all, but their music is just dull. They got nothin on Soundgarden.

Face melting, bone crunching, soul destroying. Glad I got to see them at last. I saw Arcade Fire open for U2. Arcade Fire was good and I like some of their music, but I would never have skipped Soundgarden for them. Great finale to Lollapalooza 2010.
