Now there's a record, not a shit a song on there. The title track alone blows me away:

I know a lot of people think Ok Computer is their masterpiece but I still prefer The Bends, there's just something so perfect about it, the songs fit together seamlessly.

i'm more of a Pablo Honey fan but you can't go wrong with any one of the first three Radiohead albums. all three are pretty much perfect. I wonder why they turned to such shit after 2000...must have benn the Y2K bug

This album is what got me into them. Similar to what they said above, and similar to what I've heard with "VS".... with such a great album, burn out is possible and I did that to myself with The Bends and VS, but I've been listening to it recently for the first time in years. Brilliant, straight forward album!

  • Definitely agree with you on the whole "OK Computer/Bends" question, I have always prefered the Bends there are some great tunes off this album that puts it over the top for me especially "Fake Plastic Trees"

I could never get into OK Computer as much as Pablo Honey, the Bends and, to an extent, Kid A. I think those are all better than OK Computer

Although In Rainbows is their Riot Act (meaning both are a let down for me), they are far from shit. They're one of the most respected bands of the last 20 years.

Those who haven't liked In Rainbows, but liked Ok Computer and The Bends... find on YouTube (or elsewhere) the Live From The Basement performance of In Rainbows.

agree 100%. i'd rank their albums like this:

    1.) OK Computer
    2.) The Bends
    3.) In Rainbows
    4.) Hail To The Thief
    5.) Kid A
    6.) Amnesiac
    7.) Pablo Honey

but every album is amazing in their own right. just like pj.

anyone know when a new radiohead album is coming!? isn't it supposed to be soon-ish?

Sorry, I just can't agree with that at all. I don't think Pablo Honey is better than anything they've done post-2000, or even The Bends. The Bends shows a bit more diversity than Pablo Honey, in my opinion, and has more character. PH feels a bit like they were jumping on the whole alterna-rock thing.
    Thanks EPOTTSIII!

behind pj i would have to say radiohead is the one band i've had the most connection to in my life. in rainbows and ok computer you could argue are better albums, but the emotions that stir up whenever i hear songs like black star, sulk, bones and high and dry they still leave me in pieces to this day.

an absolute masterpiece of an album.

Radiohead's best album by far. I didn't mind In Rainbows but I pretty much hated everything from Kid A onwards.

This is still one of my all time favourite songs:

This is a the record that made me fall in love with Radiohead too. I heard it in the car one day while we were driving to Vermont and I think I must have made everyone listen to it four or five times through that first day. :? :D
