As a part of the 2023 Record Store Day series, Seattle rock band The Rockfords will (re)issue their 2000 self-titled debut full-length album, along with their 2003 EP Waiting, on vinyl for the first time.
To help celebrate their upcoming RSD release, The Rockfords will take
the stage for the first time in ten years and play live at Seattle's Easy Street Records on April 22nd, 2023.
Formed in 1999, The Rockfords features longtime friends Mike McCready, Chris & Rick Friel, Danny Newcomb, and Carrie Akre.
Singer Carrie Akre joins Joel Marshall. She is a life coach and she was the powerhouse vocalist front woman of the Seattle Grunge band Hammerbox and the band Goodness. She also was in Seattle supergroup the Rockfords (with Mike McCready from Pearl Jam). She also has an awesome podcast called "Between You and I" where she talks to super interesting guests about creativity and life.
