i swear everytime i look up, the same set of people are walking outside to take their smoke breaks.

its a minimum of once per hour for 10-15 minutes. that's like an hour and a half or production per day---OUT THE WINDOW!

get back to work and process my loans ladies!!

DOCK THEIR PAY!

smokers should be forced to clock in and out everytime they take that long and unhealthy jaunt outside.

alright...back to work.

Certainly not. Especially when you find a nice shady spot to park your car, lay the seat back and kick back. :D

i stand by the jeagler on this one.
    smokers are bullshit.

cigarettes have been killing me forever.
    smoking heroin addicts at work
running for the little shelter break area outside.

it's like under the bridge for junkies.
and every hour or 45 minutes @ work.
    with dirty coffee cups.
    you ppl stink.

i am officially ashamed of myself.

What about the non-smokers, who take just as many liberties?

Can we force them to punch in and out also, to go on their nonsensical, directionless, pointless breaks?

We have several of these people where I work. I smoke, and smoke often, but I'm away from my desk for 6-7 minutes each time.

One particular woman takes 30 minutes to meander on her 10 minute break (not her actual lunch).

I say, if we're cracking down on this, crack down on everyone, whether the smoke or not.

left the office at 1:30 to pick up some food...returned at about 2:15.

the same people who were outside smoking when i left were on their way back to their designated smoking spot as i was walking back in the office. 45 minutes!!! :x

they must spend at least 3 hours out there a day :o

If the anti-smoking laws were not in full-effect, they could just smoke at their desks and increase productivity.

At my office building, SOME of the smokers use the ground as a final resting place for their cigarette butts. I don't see how this can be justified.

if cigarette smokers get to smoke as they wish in the workplace, then by golly heroin addicts should be allowed to fire up a quick fix every couple hours i'd think. there is no difference between a black tar heroin junkie and a nicotine freak jonesin for a smoke.

    cigarettes should be illegal.
    heroin, opium, and hash...legal
at least those three have a purpose

still can't believe i used to smoke
thank the lord i never worked with the jeagler

back in the day, the woman who ran my father's office smoked...well, it was the 70's so most people smoked...never thought much of it back then

and my first job after college about 22 years ago, the head accountant smoked cigars...she was a crusty, old broad

I hate running the gauntlet through the smoke cloud trying to get in or out of the building. Have to hold my breath and I don't care if they think I am being rude by not answering back to their greetings.

The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
