and if you think we spend to much than what should we spend ? Do you think our men and women shouldn't get a pay check? I mean It's pretty obvious that you and some others on here hate our military. I mean there are countries that would love to invade us if they knew they could. With alll due respect I think you and others on the left are living in some fantasy world where you think that there aren't other countries in the world that would love to bomb the shit out of us if they could. So in other words I dont give a shit what it cost to keep our asses safe.

so just because I wasn't posting when bush was talking about comprehension immigration reform (amnesty) your saying I must have supported it because Bush was president ?? :eh: :eh: :lolno:

    I don't think so ...

I didn't support then and I dont support it now. Nor will I ever..

The point of this thread was that there is a plan to do this without going through congress. That's wrong..
They are suppose to vote on things like this not just pass laws bcos they think they know what's best for the country. We do have a constitution you know ?
just to respond to a few points of yours here...

no i never said that the men and women in uniform should not get paid. where you got that assumption i will never know. i do not hate our military. i hate the money pit it has become. i hate how they prey on those young kidswith no future and recruit them into service, quickly train them, and ship them off to die in the hellholes of iraq and afghanistan. i am guessing you support this, yet you never served. interesting...B.Y.O.B...

i do not deny that there are countries that would "bomb the shit out of us". but if you fail to recognize that those sentiments are DUE TO OUR FOREIGN AND MILITARY POLICY THAN IT IS YOU LIVING IN THE FANTASY WORLD....

you "don't give a shit how much it will cost to keep our asses safe"...well if that is the case then i do not ever want to hear you complain about deficits ever again. the easiest way to save money is to cut defense spending, yet you are against that. see what happens when we have had hawkish foreign policy the last 9 years? it makes people believe that that military spending is really necessary and we would be fucked if we did not spend it.

yes i know we have a constitution, it is funny to me how you choose to apply it only when it fits your point. where was the constitutionally mandated declaration of war against iraq and afghanistan again???oh yeah...never happened...i rest my case...

"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."
  • obviously we dissagree on the military and defense spending.. That's fine and I think you are comparing apples to oranges when it comes to amnesty and defense spending.

My point waas initially this, Amnesty is wrong. Regan made a mistake when he did it. If Obama or any other politician wants comprehension reform they damn better come up with a damn biil and have a vote on it..Not some backdoor B.S.

You guys are preaching to the choir. I'm not a supporter of Iraq and I am starting to believe Afghanistan is no longer worthwhile either.

Regardless you still DO NOT reward law breakers. Amnesty is a reward.
what took you so long to realize afghanistan is the wrong war at the wrong time? how many deaths did it take? what was the purchase price that made you say " i don't believe in this anymore??"

your concerns about war and amnesty are completely different and in many cases opposite ends of what you should be caring about if you are worried about taxes and financing things...

Actually I'm not sure, but it did happen recently. I feel that we have more pressing issues at home. I believe going in initially was just, however the original target is probably in Pakistan, and Pakistan plays both sides. I'm for the continued pursuit of bin Laden and his cronies, so that would mean a drawdown of most troops. Reinstate the special ops that were hunting him and other al-qaeda leaders and leave it at that. I'd be open to support troops for those groups, and I am for continued Predator missions in Pakistan if they won't do anything about al-qaeda.

I'm against amnesty no matter who is president. It's a very bad idea.

I also wonder some people always deflect to other topics rather than staying with the one the OP has started. There are plenty of other threads about war, etc. Go post there.
