IFC had a whole bunch of episodes over the weekend. Went to wiki and saw a few interesting tidbits about the show.

The bully, Alan, played Squints in The Sandlot movie
Shia LaBeouf & Jason Schwartzman had a few cameos in the series.
Coach Fredericks was Biff in the Back To The Future movies (Ok so I knew this one, but still cool)
and Bill's mom is a MILF

Didn't know the first point you pointed out.
And she is definitely a MILF.

The Paley Center (f/k/a the Museum of TV and Radio) is presenting a panel discussion with the entire cast (except for James Franco, I think) of Freaks and Geeks (and Undeclared) next Month in L.A.

I never watched this show when it was on tragically, and I just recently watched the entire season on Netflix. Good lord what an incredible show! It was totally dead on what high school is really like...totally hit home for me too because I was always the 'smart girl' but hung out with the burnouts  It's a damn shame they ended it when they did. Also, Bill Haverchuck is definitely my favorite character of all time. Oh man his lines...seriously made me crack up a LOT! And the music...ahh so good!! So much Rush and The Who...kinda makes me want to get into the Dead too

Why didn't I have a guidance counselor like Jeff in high school?!

I love how they so accurately portray the period in terms of music, clothing and cars.

Bill is hilarious....his wisecracks are great!

I went to a panel discussion / reunion of the cast last year:

It was very cool...especially when you think of all the talent that evolved...Jason Segal, Linda Cardellini, Seth Rogen, James Franco.....ironically, the girl who played the popular cheerleader is now a bit "underemployed"!

Yeah exactly! Seriously awesome cast. Who's that, the chick that played Cindy? You know, I don't see why everyone thought she was hot. My personal opinion!

Yep, the Cindy chick wasn't all that!

During the Q and A, I asked jason Segal how he kept from laughing during his disco scene. He jokingly got offended, and advised me that he took exception to my comment, then stating how dance has been an important part of his life since childhood.

:lol::lol: You know, I almost got the sense that it was something that he did for real and that's why they put it in the show. That entire sequence just killed me, it was soo good! And that DJ!!! OMG!! Great question 8-) Was the chick that played Millie there too? I so loved her character.
