Okay so who remembers this show? What did you all think of it?

I've only seen bits and pieces of some episodes but was thinking of renting season one sometime.

Do it. It's one of my favorite shows. It's even better if you grew up in the 80's. It's a shame it only had one season.

Loved that show, too bad it only lasted a season and a half. It's still on cable on the IFC channel forget what day though. They should have a reunion show with it though.

I think IFC stands for Independent Film Channel. If you have Comcast you should have it.

It's like Freaks and Geeks is for people who grew up in the 80s while The Wonder Years is for late 60s/early 70s. I love The Wonder Years and damn the music rights, but I really need to see Freaks and Geeks.

Just get the series on dvd. It's worth it. Get a used copy on ebay or amazon or something.

My favorite show of all time possibly. A lot of people that are popular on TV and in movies right now started on this show (Seth Rogan for example).

And not to give it away, but the end of the series is the best ending to a TV show ever.

    It was a great show!

Sadly, it didn't get enough support and it wasn't used by the network correctly IMO.

I also really liked Undeclared (I believe by the same producers). It also got shafted by the network.

Two great shows that never really had a chance....

Add Firefly to this list, and you have completed my "Things that I love very much that the TV powers that be cruelly ripped from my hands."

I love Martin Starr's character...he makes some great off the cuff comments!

The guy that played Sam is now on "Bones"...he looks like he grew a few feet (in height) since F&G, but he still has the same geeky look to him!

Bill Haverchuck is one of the greatest things to ever happen to television.
“Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you’ve got about a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies — ‘God damn it, you’ve got to be kind.’” - Kurt Vonnegut

My favorite hour long show of all-time. I have two versions of the series, the collectors Yearbook edition and the regular one that I lend out to people to convert them into fans. I watch it every year in the middle of August as I start getting ready to go back to school (I'm a teacher). Unbelievably great series.

    Agreed, great show.

I watched seasons 1 and 2 on recommendation from a friend. I could hardly resist watching all of them in one sitting!! Pacing myself is not what one might call a "specialty" of mine.

Very much fun. Worth renting by far.

Didn't even last a season and half. It got canceled 12 episodes in and due to fan demand they filmed another 6 episodes that aired after it had been canceled. It was all considered one season though.

It is amazing though. It is inconceivable how shows like this and AD get canned fast yet family guy can run for 10 years.

Yeah, it was a Judd Apatow project before he became the mega successful writer and director he is today. A lot of the characters on his show have gone on to star in Apatow movies. See: Seth Rogen, Jason Segel, James Franco, etc. Love that show. Borrowed both seasons from a friend and watched them all in like a two week period.

one of the best shows ever! so dead on accurate with everything about high school without being stereotypical.
