Charlotte 2000 - too many memories to choose just one from this show, but I'll go with the crowd interaction on Black when Ed got a little emotional during the song

Charlotte 2003 - Ed dissing Creed at the beginning of Green Disease and then eventually spelling out "C-R-E-E-D" instead of "G-R-E-E-D"

Columbia 2008 - awesome version of Alive (which IMO would have been the perfect way to end the show)

I don't feel like thinking back, just wanted to give everyone a huge thumbs up for this thread....wonderful, thoughtful answers. I was surprised the the number of Euro-Australian responses....

    Great work!

Reading 2006 - First time I saw them. 1 of 3 teenagers standing near me said "Aren't they old" and then sang along to every song word perfectly.
Wembley 2007 - hearing Long Road as an opener and thinking "fuck me this is loud. Ears buzzed for 2 days.
O2 London 2009 - Release as opener and the crowd erupting as they went into Animal. Crowd was awesome!
Hyde Park 2010 - Heard Once, Not for You and Go, although I wish they hadn't played Go as the crowd near me erupted and it became a case for survival. Most insane crowd I've ever been in.

Animal might be the best #2 song that they can play...it's just something that makes you want to smash your face off a stone wall, it's just so raw and intense

Berlin 2006 - just watching the band entering the stage and then turn into a blistering GO............my first PJ-Live experience. Man it just seemed too good to be true.

Copenhagen 2007 - Eddie goes on before the opening band. The whole feeling about the "back in Denmark" show. The fact that the band was in my hometown......................... and BREATH!

    London 2009 - I got to hear Release :D:D:D

Berlin. The Best BLACK ever! still get chills when I think about that song. The ending, the speach, the silence and then come back into Alive. The most appropriate spot for Alive at any show any time.......woooo that was a great place to be

allready looking forward to next time..........in Copenhagen I hope
Run away my son. See it all. Oh see the world.
  • I had only 2 pj show in my life (Both Argentinian shows in 2005)

    1st night:

During Even Flow Mike threw at least 2 guitar pics to me but the secury guy grabbed them and then tryed to sell them (awful)

People singing out loud the Stone Riff's during Do The Evolution. Then Ed sayd somening about the croud been amasing singers...and how nobody sings the guitar riffs. NICE!

    2nd night:

I just fell into tears during Betterman. A dream come true to me

I hope I get the chance to see them live again someday!

Manchester 09 - first show, went with an old friend I'd not seen in ages and two of his friends, black was amazing, we were all hugging and crying, loved hearing smile. Got drunk after the show with my friend, we sang PJ very loudly in the hotel bar and reverted to our mischevious teenage selves (apologies to anyone staying at the City Inn who didn't get breakfast in their room or got woken up :? ).

Dublin 10 - With new (now old and cherished) friends, Of the Earth, Arms Aloft and being on the rail.

Belfast 10 - The white line brigade, SOLAT for the first time, general atmosphere of the room

London 10 - The gang I was with, we made that part of the crowd our own, us lot all linked arms and country style Just Breathe

    Berlin 10 - Simply amazing!

Arras 10 - The shadows on the church, Baba

Werchter 10 - Paul's porch dance, dave grohl and eddie on stage together, fireworks

    Albany 2003
I Am Mine, my favorite song at the time, being the opener for the show.

    Boston 2004
    Opening Go into Animal

    Pittsburgh 2005
Not part of Pearl Jam's set but Eddie singing Wild Horses with the Stones is my favorite concert moment ever

    Albany 2006
Eddie pointing at the River Rats sign, and then the band busting out Rats

    Hartford 2006
Bringing back "We Belong Together" at the end of Black, and the first time I saw Yellow Ledbetter

    Boston I 2006
First time seeing Release as an opener, and getting ridiculous chills as the whole crowd sang along

    Boston II 2006
Dropping the Leash for the first time in a long time.

    The Vic 2007
Just being at that show is probably the luckiest thing that has ever happened to me. Love Reign O'er Me's American debut is what sticks out. Every moment was unforgettable, except for playing Wishlist, could have done without that.

    Lolla 2007
Singing along to Corduroy with the girl next to me, and realizing that it was "Everything has changed" and that it was actually "everything has chains"

    Tampa 2008
First time seeing Nothingman and Light Years

    MSG I 2008
All Along the Watchtower and Indifference, WMA

    MSG II 2008
    Black Diamond

    Hartford 2008
    Immortality and Fuckin' Up

    Boston I 2008
Love Reign O'er Me and that ridiculous sing a long to Betterman

    Boston II 2008
    Wash!

    Philly II 2009
Garden was awesome that night, and first time seeing Nothing As It Seems

    Philly III 2009
Hold On, Baba O'Riley, Deep, soooo many

    Bristow 2010
Sonic Reducer and meeting some cool people when I was flying solo to the show.

    Hartford 2010
Ain't Talking About Love and Indifference

    Boston 2010
Crown of Thorns and being shocked when they played Undone when I thought they were going to play Down

    MSG II 2010
Starting the slow clap at the end of Black, and hugging my friend when they played Hunger Strike
    32 shows and counting...

I remembered today talking to a student from Lebanon at the Hyde Park gig just after the huge Small Town singalong because she'd smiled back at me when I watched her smiling and going mental. I asked her how many shows she had seen and she told me until that morning she had never even heard PJ and her friend had to play her a few songs to persuade her to come to the gig. She kept shouting, How did I not know about this music and she was crying with her friend during Just Breathe. It must be great to discover a band this good and have all those sings still to hear.. :D
