Anybody playing Call of Duty WWII yet?

Haven't played a COD in a while.  Is WW2 supposed to be good?

Played a couple hours of SM Odyssey yesterday.  Fun game!
Not sure if it's a "10", but it's really well done and I'm having a blast!
Indeed.  I had to take a little break from it this week.  If I wasn't playing it last weekend, I was watching live streams of it being played.  Didn't want to burn myself out too quickly.  I've beat the boss in the Seaside Kingdoml but then went back to the Cap & Cascade Kingdoms to collect all the purple coins.  Working my way back up from there.
It looks like the main storyline can be beaten rather swiftly, but there is a lot of post-game content for completionists to go back and do.  Should be fun for the next few months.
Yeah, I can tell I'm missing a lot.  In going through getting moons I've noticed places that I haven't been too.  Gonna have to go back for sure!

So Battlefront 2 is going to have micro transitions in order to unlock heroes ... or you can play for 40 hours to unlock Vader.

    Damn it, EA.

Yeah after BF1 was poorly received (by gamers? ...can't remember) they didn't do themselves any favours with this move.

I guess EA is lowering the credits it take to unlock after the outcry but it will still take 10 hours to unlock one person or ship.  And it appears the whole game is marred with micro-transitions and progression systems.  I don't have time for that crap.  If this was a free-to-play game so be it, but I don't have the time and I'm not going to pay an additional +$100 for content that should be available right away for a $60 game.

I have been putting some work into my Raspberry Pi/Retropie.

Its been working great.  I have both my bluetooth controllers connecting seamlessly now with power on.  I have a huge stable of games with all metadata scraped, including video previews.  Also found a really appealing theme.  Also got the Playstation emulator up and running.  Added a bunch of Roms to bring my total over 1,500.

This weekend I played Battletoads, Double Dragon, Ninja Gaiden, GTA 2 for PS, NHL 98, Gradius, and Jackal.

I've been putting off on getting a RasPi until maybe it gets powerful enough to handle N64 emulation more seamlessly.  That's honestly what I want the most, to go back and play some of those great titles that I missed out on.  I have seen that another single board computer, the oDroid XU4, handles N64 a lot better.  I'm not in a hurry at the moment, so maybe I'll wait a bit until these SBC's get even more powerful.

Yeah, I never really got into the N64.  I have some games, and they start up no problem, but I never tried playing.  Apparently people overclock their units to enhance the N64 games.

Got a copy of Horizon Zero Dawn "Complete Edition" off of Amazon yesterday for cheap.  Haven't' played it yet but have heard it's pretty awesome.  Anyone here play it?

Any of you playing PUBG (Players Unknown Battleground)?  I’m hoping to get some online time this weekend (Xbox 1)

I'm not really into those kinda games (mainly because I'm just terrible at them), but Fortnite is a lot more fun to me than PUBG.  It's definitely an easier solo game than PUBG, but from what I've heard from other players, PUBG is much better with squads.

Right on, I never gave Fortnite much of a chance.  PUBG is a blast in Squad mode with some other buddies.  Gonna admit it though, I am still a newb at it too :)

I still want to know how I can get Adventure Island. I was hoping that it would be included on the NES Classic when they realeased that thing, but it was not.

I was so close to finishing that game back in the day.

Anyone watch the Video games awards the other week?

One of my friends works at Telltale games in Cali. Anywho I talked to him the other night and he mentioned that where he works won studio of the year and they also won video game of the year for the Walking Dead. Pretty cool cause he helped with making the game and stuff. :)

He wasn't let go , but he left around the same time they let people go back in November.  He just started working at Bethesda in MD a few months ago.  He seems to like it.  He's closer to "home"  and it's a little cheaper living there than in San Rafael.

Yes he does. I can't believe it took over 11 years to have someone officially dispute that score. Steve Wiebe (guy from King of Kong documentary) expressed doubts about its validity back then.

Also, very intrigued on the new Fallout coming out.  Seems to be about a control vault, like 200 years before Fallout 3, and takes place in Virginia/West Virginia
