No Centipede, A Link to the Past, Metroid, Sonic the Hedgehog, SMB 3, Crash Bandicoot, NFL Blitz, ...

But a dozen first person shooters which are all the same god damn game with different costumes.

    Fuck Pong. Fuck Zork.

Super Mario World deserves to be top 5, but hats off to having Tetris as #1. I would have never picked it, but I played that game so much I would visually break down anything I looked at as Tetris blocks.

also, FUCK MINECRAFT RIGHT IN THE BUTTHOLE!!! You dumbass Millennials.

and angry birds. fuck that game in the bird hole.

Other then that it is a solid list.

I actually dont think it was a horrible list... It passed a few tests such as giving the nod to Civ IV instead of the rest... Also the inclusion of Red Dead Redemption and Fallout 3.

The problem with "Best Video Game Ever" lists... they evolve so much over time. GTA V >>>>> Pong in every way. But then you factor in the nostalgia aspect as well as "influential". It muddies it quite a bit and you cannot objectively rank games in that case. Plus you have genres... Sports, Racing, Side-Scroller, Simulation, FPS, RPG, etc... from Pong to Witcher 3 you cannot rank everything on one plane.

Plus, personally, I really dislike FPS games, but rate open world-sandbox RPGs and Simulators at the very top of the list.

Sports games, you have Techmo Super Bowl and Ice Hockey that are timeless classics that can be fun today... but on the other hand you have Madden '17, NCAA '14, MLB The Show, etc

I don't really compare games now to those in the past. I have my favorite games, the ones I like to play, etc. but can see how some would be on a "best ever" list due to a number of reasons. If a game was truly developed well, if it was innovative, if it changed how we think about and play games...
I just think some of those on the list were some that just sold well vs actually being "the best"...based off of the limited examples above.

Hadn't bought a game in a while, but finally got GTA V. I'm laughably terrible at it lol. While I enjoy these types of games, I'm usually not good at them, but this is going to a whole new level.

    Sony announces the PS4 Pro
The PS4 Pro supports HDR and 4K.
BY MIRANDA SANCHEZ The PlayStation Neo is the PlayStation 4 Pro, Sony revealed today at PlayStation's press conference.

Sony's Andrew House said that the PS4 Pro will "stand alongside and complement the original PS4" with its 4K and HDR capabilities. The same game discs and downloads will run on the PS4 and PS4 Pro.

    image

The PS4 Pro has a boosted CPU clock rate, a 1 terabyte hard drive, and more than double the power of the PS4 GPU.

“[We're] providing a number of mechanisms for easily transferring your game library and entitlements from the standard model to the new console,” PS4 Lead Systems Architect Mark Cerny said.

I figured it would be a 2 TB hard drive, especially if they are adding a HDR..

Forza Horizons 3 is getting really good reviews. I don't have an xbox one but it appears they are also releasing on PC.

I hadn't heard that about Horizon 3 (PC) but it wouldn't surprise me. They just did a Forza 6 "extended demo" sort of thing for PC.
The good reviews don't surprise me either. It's been a good series since Horizon 1. That said, I've got a lot on the go and haven't even come close to finishing FM6 so I'll wait for a sale...

I was playing the demo last night. It looks great.

Too bad that the Gran Turismo series went to shit.

Anyone get the Playstation VR? It is very tempting, but $500 for the starter bundle. So far it is getting good reviews.

I've considered it. From what I've seen, it's gotten pretty good reviews so far. I have the camera and a couple of Move controllers already so I could just get the base VR unit. My problem is that I sit like 12 feet from my TV (and where the camera would be). I read that anything beyond 6 feet, and the camera can lose the tracking.
I kind of wish I knew someone who had one I could try first.

Well, I stopped by Target to pick up a couple of things and sure enough, there was a base PSVR kit there....last one.
    I bought it.

    Impulse buy.

Charging up my move controllers now.

May or may not get to it tonight as I got a lot of crap to do, but I'll have a review of it and the Batman game for you tomorrow for sure. ha!

Well, after playing around with it for 30-40 minutes...
    Simply amazing! No joke!
Batman game makes you feel like you are there. It's really hard to describe.

Comfortable to wear. Recommend third party headphones as the buds they give you are a little weird.
It does get a little warm...not from the device but just having it on for so long.

It's truly crazy, just looking around in 360 degrees at the environments. A few times I reached out to try and touch things.

If you're on the fence. I say go for it. Well designed, well integrated. Can't wait to get back "in"!

You can play non VR games and watch movies, etc with it, but haven't tried...or really see the point.

It'll fit any head and face. It's fully adjustable. It's actually quite comfortable to wear.
