What about your back yard? How many folding chairs would we need to set up a small EV solo show?

Maybe around 20, maybe more. During the show we can have a cookout, grill facing Eddie so I don't miss a second. My backyard is pretty much the driveway, with some grass area we can set up for Ed. If he wants, I can join in on drums.

Sounds like a plan. I have 4 folding chairs here that I can bring down. I wonder if Ed would play for burgers and wings?

I think I read somewhere that he's a vegetarian. I can bring extra gardenburgers if that helps.

If we got Ed to play Newch's back yard/driveway, I would even eat a few of those gardenburgers!

I got some folding chairs also. I have a couple blue chairs that are comfortable to sit in with a drink holder in it.

 Not sure about that. Some vegetarians don't eat fish.

Took my son to see them @ the XL this year and he told me he wants my 2nd ticket from now on.

EV solo would be incredible in CT.......saw him at the Opera house in Boston and was floored.

p.s. Bring Liam and EJ with ya!!

Nice. You should definitely give it to him.

He's gonna give us a private show in my backyard/driveway either the day before or after the show. There will be a cookout during the show.

I'm just kidding. Wanted to stir the pot a little.

Also, I hope they never ever play the XL Center again. The Meadows is the only CT venue for them. It was fun and all last May, but please, the sound was horrible and the venue was shitty. With all due respect to the Uconn women, of course.

WHAT?! It's not your usual arena. The UConn men and women (well, mostly the women) make us proud. But I would like to see another show at the Meadows. Well, there is a huge advantage for the Meadows...so much space for tailgating. If they play the Meadows again, I'm not sure what tickets I'd get...either 10C or lawn. The lawn was awesome in 08. And then there was the huge debacle with the 10C tickets at the Meadows in 08 while the XL was easier. The XL had booths open in all the entrances for the merch while the Meadows, I think, only had one booth. So really, it's even.

I gotta say...i was happily surprised w/ the sound at the XL Center in Hartford...Last time I had been there was years and years ago and it wasnt a good experience. The only thing i can say about that is how shitty the weather was at the Meadows in Hartford '06 in May....it was rainy and cold. Pre-partying in the p-lots sucked. Hartford '08 in the Meadows was like a million degrees in June. So, in a sense, its nice to have a somewhat controlled climate...then again...being in the 10c we dont have to worry about getting rained on - having awesome seats and all.

And about the people getting their 10c tix late at Hartford '08...man thats a bitch...but u cant tailgate all day, then try and get your tix right after the opening act is done...ameatures ;) ...u gotta get your tix early...beer in hand...fuck it...its good exercise 8-)

On another note....I am like a stones throw from Mohegan Sun....drive by that bitch every day on my way to work....cheap cab ride home or easy drunk ride home  - tho they rape you for the drinks...it would be nice to have PJ/EV in the nice small Arena....with the right sound crew, that place sounds great - saw STP there last year...it sounded amazing....

yah...but still....im thinking in comparison to TD Banknorth/Fleet Center in Boston
or even the outdoor venues which are larger
i've always been pretty close to the stage on the side in Mohegan Arena..but from what I hear, there isnt a bad seat in the house...even the nosebleeds arent really nosebleeds.

I was there once and it was for the basketball state finals in 09 (I tend to block that game out). But the only thing with playing at Mohegan or a casino is the price of tickets is going to cost a little more than usual.

    true, true...good point
damn indians gougin ticket prices
but we're in the 10c so we wont have to pay the venue fees
and i have many connections at mohegan sun so i can score some free tix maybe

but anywhere in CT would be cool for me...my first vote is still for the Bushnell
    or your back yard.....
