so who is going to be the first teabagger on here to stand up and condemn this??
"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."
Let's look at a quote from the great Howard Zinn about socialism:
"Let's talk about socialism. I think it's very important to bring back the idea of socialism into the national discussion to where it was at the turn of the [last] century before the Soviet Union gave it a bad name. Socialism had a good name in this country. Socialism had Eugene Debs. It had Clarence Darrow. It had Mother Jones. It had Emma Goldman. It had several million people reading socialist newspapers around the country. Socialism basically said, hey, let's have a kinder, gentler society. Let's share things. Let's have an economic system that produces things not because they're profitable for some corporation, but produces things that people need. People should not be retreating from the word socialism because you have to go beyond capitalism."

I guess if you repeat it enough, people will start believing it.

what we have now is NOWHERE near socialism. what they fail to grasp is obama is a centrist at best, not the radical lefty they make him out to be....
"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."
This upsets me as a former Iowa resident but more importantly as an American.
Such bullshit!!!
People in the country don't even know what Socialism is, let alone compare them to two horrific dictators!
Dumb fucks!
Even having said that, it's blatantly obvious to me that the people behind this bullshit are hillybilly fuckwits.
He is George W Bush Lite edition.
everyone claiming that fails to ever explain how they got to that conclusion except for when beck connects the dots for them....
"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."
Someone should show this quote to that clown Beck by Howard Zinn:
"Becoming a Bruce fan is like hitting puberty as a musical fan. It's inevitable." - dcfaithful
after nobama gets ejected and a Republican gets voted in that president will get the same treatment from their opposer's and all you folks will find it less disturbing and some of you might even agree with what ever mud is being flung at the time, it's a ugly viscous wheel of like and dislikes so pick your poison.
Have a nice day

The difference to me is that one (new black panthers) are a few idiots that no one really cares about (except fox news for some reason), and another is basically a national political party who has candidates running for office and is on the news every day.
I don't think all tea partiers are racist... and I think the movement and a lot of those in it are good meaning people who are just fed up with how our government operates. I get that, and totally understand that. But, there are some vocal racists that normal people in the party don't seem to eager to denounce, and the party in general has been hijacked by the republican party.
What really helped to get Obama elected, was the grass roots movement that they started and brought along... The GOP saw this, and decided to hijack another grassroots movement and distort it to fit their agenda.

"That's just a waste of money, time, resources and it's not going to further our cause," said Shelby Blakely, a leaders of the Tea Party Patriots, a national group. "It's not going to help our cause. It's going to make people think that the tea party is full of a bunch of right-wing fringe people, and that's not true."
Blakely also expressed outrage at linking Obama to Hitler, the leader of Nazi Germany who oversaw the killing of 6 million Jews and whose invasions of neighboring countries led to World War II.
"When you compare Obama to Hitler, that to me does a disservice to the Jews who both survived and died in the Holocaust and to the Germans who lived under Nazi regime rule," Blakely said.
John White, an Iowa coordinator of the Tea Party Patriots, said that he can understand the North Iowa group's perception that Obama is "Hitler-esque," but he thinks the billboard is offensive and unproductive. White said that he planned to discuss the matter with national tea party officials.
"I fear they may end up in some kind of trouble over it, because it's basically slanderous," White said. "I don't know that it's the message we want to send. I'd much rather see billboards that say 'Remember in November. Get Out and Vote.'"
The billboard is owned by Waitt Outdoor of Omaha, Neb. Waitt general manager, Kent Beatty, said the company didn't have a problem with the message.
"We believe in freedom of speech," Beatty said. "It doesn't reflect our views, necessarily."
The White House declined to comment on the sign.
One person who welcomed the billboard was Dean Genth, a Democratic activist from Mason City, a city of 30,000 people just south of the Minnesota border, who said he thinks the sign lays bare the views of tea party supporters.
"I welcome them to continue to spew that kind of stuff because I think it's going to do a lot of good for the good Democrats around the state," Genth said.
I'm amazed that people think Obama is a Socialist. He is knee-deep in the cogs of our capitalistic society. I guess part of it is Obama's fault for lying about "change".
As for the yahoo that put this billboard up, I kind of feel sorry for them if they really believe the message they are trying to deliver. These yahoos give the 95% of honest and respectable members of the tea party movement a bad name and image.
Unfortunately, the world is full of fools and they have a tendency to infiltrate most groups.
Good for her (or him?)

I never said he was. I said he is the 3rd term George W Bush the Dems were trying to avoid by not voting for McCain.
I guarantee you 9 out of 10 of these guys are making the Hitler connection because the work "socialist" is in the name of the Nazi party.

Iowa billboard linking Obama, Hitler removed
North Iowa Tea Party group drew criticism from other conservative activists
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/38244427/ns ... sion_2010/
DES MOINES, Iowa — A billboard created by an Iowa tea party group comparing President Barack Obama to Adolf Hitler and Vladimir Lenin has been removed.
Kent Beatty, the general manager of the company that owns the billboard, says a North Iowa Tea Party representative called Tuesday night and asked that the sign in downtown Mason City be removed.
Beatty says his company replaced the sign Wednesday morning with a public service announcement.
The original sign showed photographs of Obama, Nazi leader Hitler and communist leader Lenin beneath the labels "Democrat Socialism," "National Socialism," and "Marxist Socialism."
Some tea party members criticized the sign, and North Iowa Tea Party co-founder Bob Johnson acknowledged the pictures overwhelmed the intended message of anti-socialism.
A billboard ordered and paid for by the North Iowa Tea Party shows President Barack Obama, Adolf Hitler, left and Vladimir Lenin, in Mason City, Iowa. The billboard has now been papered over.
"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."
If anyone questions the Republican take-over of the Tea Party... there is your answer.
Hail, Hail!!!
Actually, one is a group of racist idiots that openly threaten violence on whites...the other is also just a small group (NORTHERN IOWA for god's sake), not the national party you are inferring. Hell, I live in Iowa...there are hardly enough people in northern iowa to play a full on baseball game. You certainly can't have a designated hitter...damn pitcher has to hit!
Yep, 1 sign in Northern Iowa proves that for sure.
Man, it's a stupid sign. 1 stupid sign. It's been removed, to help protect the stupid people that put it there (the North Iowa Tea Party) from appearing as stupid as they are to the rest of the world. What idiots.
But to think this is anyway indicative of anything national is just a bit of a stretch. I'm not saying your hypothesis that the tea party has been taken over by the repubs is wrong...I'm just saying that your proof of it is weak sauce.
Cincy... what happened to your sense of humor?
Hail, Hail!!!
I used it all up 1 post before that. I'm reloaded now...my bad.
Good to hear, Bro...
And as a sidenote... I was on board with the initial Tea Party and the shake up in Congress. Those so-called representatives of ours need a swift kick in the ass. I figured, with a huge influx of Independent Party representatives, we could finally free ourselves of choosing between Cancer or AIDS in the ballot booths.
When I saw FOX News, Limbaugh and the likes becoming 'The Voice' of the Tea Party... I knew it was game over. The love affair with Sarah Palin was the death blow. I'm out.
Hail, Hail!!!
So are you defending the sign? Or are you changing the subject?
