Will there be an investigation into the threats?

they're racist, they will be their own worst enemy when obama can't protect them anymore.
I just watched their story on fox news and heard what they were saying to people(racist threats) outside the voting poles.

It's funny... the only people I've seen anywhere in the media giving these idiotic black panthers any attention is the right.

I guess it drums up anger (which = ratings) if nothing else...

I agree. I was at my father's place and Glenn Beck did a whole show on the black panther guy that looks similar to Charlie Murphy. I guess they could have picked any racist that had a megaphone but they centered on this guy. I tried to ask my Dad who he was and if he was politically sponsored by anyone I should be concerned with . . . I was told to watch and see how Glenn connects the dots (i.e. he didn't know who the guy was). So yeah, it was for ratings.

The Bush Administration's Justice Department decided not to investigate the "New Black Panthers" somtime around January 9, 2009, before Obama took office. Stop watching Fox and particularly Glen Beck. His show has nothing to do with reality or facts for that matter.

Why is it if you point out the fault of the administration in power people always jump in with what the previous admin did? it happened when bush took office and they blamed clinton for all types of shit, it is fruitless. Dropping the charges was wrong no matter who did it, voter intimidation is wrong no matter who is doing it.

The group itself does not condone what this particular leader did, but he should be held accountable for his actions. And the fact that he was not kicked out of the NBP tells you all you need to know about them.

I wasn't condoning it, just pointing out that Fox and Beck in particular always connect the dots and have them lead to liberals, democrats, Obama, etc and rarely to those who were in a position to stop it or were responsible. Facts should speak for themselves and stand on their merit. Not be twisted or ignored to promote a political agenda. The intentional misreporting and misrepresentation of facts and refusing to correct said misrepresentations after being called on it, more than anything, is ruining this country. Propaganda works. Just ask anyone in North Korea or who survived Nazi Germany. Do you hold the Tea party to account for yelling racist slurs at members of congress or for displaying clearly racist messages at their rallies? The same holds true for the tea party leadership for not publicly condemning thier racism. And does Fox and Glen Beck truthfully report on the Tea Party's racist ways? And I totally agree with your last sentence!

I would say that the tea party is not a race movement. the new black panther party's platform is based on race relations. Please show me the racist signs from tea party rallies that talk about killing black babies, or the signs in general and I will show you a moron holding a sign. All groups have loons, but it is important for them to get their message out despite the morons. The people that had them should be taken to task, but as a "party" which they aren't, the tea party has no racist ideals nor do they promote race based platforms. They aren't necessarily apples and oranges, but comparing the two groups is hard to do because of the motives for their behavior.
If the NAACP had a member come out and talk about killing cracker babies I would bet that they would be out on their ass fast as lightning with the group coming out and saying that is not what we are about. But instead, the NBP suspends this fool to save face and still allows him to spout his racist garbage tied to their name.
edit: I agree that beck is not a good place to get your info. The guy is entertaining and that is it. And he is, don't you think he knows that the crazier he sounds the more likely the left and the other news outlets will continue talking about him. he is a smart business man. if you want him to go away the easiest way is for the entire democratic party to not acknowledge his existence.

My opinions on the New Black Panter party and the Tea Party?
I don't like either of them.
The New Black Panther Party is the same old Black Panther Party. They remain a militant wing at the extreme end of the spectrum. They might better serve the black community and mend race relations by dropping the hate that leads to nowhere.
The Tea Party... it started out as a good thing... non-partisan, independent, vote out the incumbants (regardless of political party affiliation), send a message to Washington. They have been hi-jacked and taken over by angry, mostly white, Republicans who are sponsored by FOX News and political pundits such as Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Ann Coulter and Sean Hannity. They are no longer a voice of independence... they are a voice of Republican agenda. It is no longer a move to vote out incumbants... and more of a vote out Democratic incumbants and vote in Republican politicians. Independents you say? I have two words that crush that arguement... Sarah... and... Palin.

It is ok for the media to constantly lie and report the Tea Party as racist with no proof…
However, someone saying they hate crackers (racial slur) and want to kill people because they are white…clearly racist…..
    This should not be reported

c'mon... you know the answer to that one. Why doesn't the tea party leaders call out the idiots in their group? why don't the moderate democrats call out the crazy Move-On folks? Why don't moderate republicans call out the talk show morons? Because they somewhat agree with them (or enough to give them a pass on stupid things), and because they need the crazy loud fringe people to rile up the base when it's time for elections.

cosmo and blackredyellow already said what i was going to say. maybe they have felt so much hate and ignorance from the teabaggers that maybe they think "hey, someone is finally giving it back to whitey for once"?? that is purely speculation on my part, but if the repubs don't condemn the teabaggers and the african americans and democrats do not condemn the black panthers, then why even bicker about it because those with the power to change things or lead by example either can't or they refuse to. either way, i laugh at the black panthers rhetoric the same as i laughed at the teabagger rhetoric. again, as i said before, words are only powerful if you let them be. otherwise they are just a collection of letters that don't mean anything.

I would have thought you to be better than compare the TEA Party with these racists from the Black Panther Party.

I'm a TEA party supporter and I've been trying to help a local woman get on the GOP ballot to run against a Dem. She just happens to be a black woman, and she is pretty freakin' amazing.

Not too sure there are many Black Panther Party people helping a white person get on the ballot.

i thought the tea party was nonpartisan????? that is what you all have been claiming for a year and a half...so why are they supporting republicans the entire time and doing stupid things like building bilboards of obama with hitler and lenin??? http://forums.pearljam.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=137146

i am sure there are a few african american tea partiers, just like there are more than a few caucasions that support the black panthers and the NAACP.

The group itself does not condone what this particular leader did, but he should be held accountable for his actions. And the fact that he was not kicked out of the NBP tells you all you need to know about them.
I am just so glad that the majority of americans(all colors) don't subscribe to this type of hateful behavior.

The racist slurs to congressmen never happened....the last Tea Party I attended had a sign as you walked in saying they had right to kick anyone out that had racial signs.....I have heard them on tv condemning racism.......

i thought the tea party was nonpartisan?????

Actually it is, however there are few Democrat candidates that fit the lesser taxation model. And this is ONE PARTICULAR candidate, don't get out your broad paintbrush just yet.

Glenn Beck is a fool and anyone who believes in him is too. Hate speech is hate speech and he is no better than the Black Panther dude he's criticizing.

Sarah... and... Palin.

What makes the Obama adminstration different from past administrations going back 100 years or so? Very little. The same people continue to own and run the biggest industries and set the gears in motion for all of our industry. The only competition for power within this country is from the elite class who are more allies than enemies. Republicans and Democrats, when they get into power, will make minor changes to appease their bases, but ultimately they work for the same team.

So to criticize Obama any more strongly than any past administration is to be ignorant of reality, and is very likely a reaction against his race. I know many Tea Partiers will say they criticized Bush just as strongly, but the fact is most of them didn't come out to make noise until a black man got elected. They may be right about some things... particularly on corruption within the administration, but they ignored the same corruption from Bush even though Bush was too stupid and shameless to hide most of it.

The Tea Party is a joke of a revolution. It's controlled by the mass media. The American revolution was a farce too, which is probably why the Tea Partiers love it so much. There is no revolution, there never has been, and there never will be. Empires crumble only to be replaced by new ones.
