Am I the only one who thinks this poster kinda sucks? This Ames shit has been increasingly uncreative.

not at all, its not striking a chord with me at all.

one of the worst to date, yet the praise above suggests we're very much the minority

I was going to buy the poster tomorrow (if there's still any left, given only 250 were printed  ), but now that I see it... Meh.

The octopi theme again? Really? They seem to regurgitate themes. Not cool. I mean, how many different ways can you draw those stupid cartoon characters (see Columbus and MSG 08s)?

boston 98 was a success - sadly no octopus since has got close

its better than the 08 ones at least ;)

i love it. a beautiful mosiac art. would love a front entry of a home a mosiac of this in ceramic tiles. would be a nightmare to do but it's well worth it. also something like this on a glass window would be mesmerizing.

I hope the Ames Bros doesn't get mad at me, i was thinking in using that design for something like that  by the way did you see bender's "space invader" tribute on futurama?!?

i don't get comedy central here. :( downloading the web-dl hd itunes file right now.
can't wait to check it out.

i've seen a few stickman glass mosaics over @ etsy a while back. they were pretty small though. would love something like the size as those huge glass church window's. the 3 california ames jebus prints of '98 would be amazing to do on.

Gotta say, I agree with you on that one... it is clearly a regurgitation of themes (see Boston 98 and 06 and for some reason the overall style of it reminds me of the 00 California Trio)....

Funny, when I saw it I immediately thought stained glass, not mosaic, but I guess that's all a matter of perspective...

All bashing aside, I do like it... will probably fish for one tomorrow when Ames puts it up... hopefully it won't be at like 6am my time, like the NYC 2... could be an expensive saturday if i manage to snag anything good from BK...
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

I was in Lisbon not long ago...mosaic and tile work is typical of Portugal, i think it's really cool that they tied that in with the poster.

5 posters? isn't it four? Belfast, Venice, Nijmegen and Lisbon?

Also $195 I think I got ripped off. It was $230 when I bought it, and with shipping and converting to Aussie Dollars it cost me a bit over $300. Yikes   :o
