Best time to purchase PJ collectables?

I've bought PJ stuff off and on for over ten years now, but more recently I've got on a vinyl kick. I'm seeing a lot of "iso's" right now. Is this normal or do you think the album and tour are fueling a demand right now for records (and other merchandise)? Once things have settled a bit and they are off the road for a few months do you think the demand and therefore the price will go down? I'm ISO of a lot of PJ stuff too, but I'm also ISO of money for a car and class this fall, lol.

oh ok thanx, and I don't think anyone can rightfully answer your question unless they studied/recorded every sale on ebay over the past 10 years!! haha, (I'm sure some people have) But I would guess that most collectors spend a lot of money on the tour so they hold back collecting as much during that time .. I could be totally wrong.

be selective on popsike though as you only get so many free searches a day

the collecting market is generally well down on a few years ago right now, taking a few new items out of the equation and a few individual Cd test presses, ebay prices are a good 40% lower on 2 years ago, if not more.

Take a Freak for example from 2005 -m some sold for $600 - now your lucky to break $300

the easy street posters are down from $750 to $400

everything has taken a hit unless its new and therefore in demand by the hardcore select few who drive up the new item market every time.

There was a huge wave of vinyl, posters, etc for sale when they announced the 2010 US tour. Seems like money for shows takes precedent over collectables... I saw a riot act lp go for $56 the other day and then one went for $91 yesterday. depends on what's out there at the time. if the market is flooded you pay less. if there is one copy of something throughout ebay it'll sell for more.
