I watched it the lady is very well informed. The situation is quite unbelievable and yet some people still choose to remain ignorant.

A few weeks ago my friend needed petrol. She turned into a B.P. forecourt close to her house.I said "Your not buying your petrol here are you?" ... she looked at me surprised and asked why ... astonished I said "The B.P. situation in the Gulf of Mexico" she said "Oh I don't bother with that kind of stuff" ... I got out the car and walked to her house

I have forwarded her and others the link

Well, since the BP stations are locally owned and operated it is a pretty crappy situation to be in. Boycott and hurt the local people and hope to hurt BP, or still go their so the local owners and workers don't suffer but support BP's bottom line. I've not yet decided and I'll admit, that I did go to a BP gas station the other day specifically thinking whether or not it was a good idea or not.

I'm glad stargirl69 got out of the car and walked. If not only to make a point about buying from a station with the distaster creator's name, but also to get her friend to wake up. "I don't bother with that kind of stuff." WTF??? How could you not bother with a disaster of this magnitude? And, what kind of stuff gets under the skin of people with this attitude? Trivial shit, I'm sure.

    She was great!

I think what's an even bigger issue to this is the idea of Peak Oil. I've read at Sierraclub.com that we will be at peak oil much sooner than later, and if there's anything to do right now, we've got to get off of our reliance of oil. If our govt won't do it, we need to do it individually. Off-shore deep water drilling is an act of desperation because all of the shallow water drilling is already taken. There's not much of anything there after all the deep water wells are emptied.
