The In My Tree from this concert is still the best version of it i've ever heard.
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

'Why Go' - Slane Castle - July 10th 1993, (WOW) Tomorrow its my 17th anniversary, cant believe that.... 17 years ago tomorrow i stood in a field with 40,000 PJ fans, sweating in anticipation of the explosion of noise that was about to begin. Neil Young was headlining, but it was Pj's first time in Ireland, Van Morrison, 4 Non Blonds, Saw Doctors..... who cares, we were all waiting to see the band in the flesh for the first time. It was crazy, the band had an energy back then that cant be matched today, maybe it was Dave Abbruzzee's drumming, maybe it was the anger and frustration that Eddie seemed to be feeling at the time. But that gig was very special..... and i think the band knew it... To Quote Eddie in a Rolling Stone Article in October 1993

There's no school to go to for some of the weird shit that happens," says Vedder. "The fucking weirdness of it all. But some of these guys, they can help out a bit. Bob Dylan's advice was 'Go to Dublin.' I wrote him a postcard today."

    "It said, 'Made it.'"

Present Tense from my only concert experience of the band at 2003-04-22, St. Louis. I hated the experience of the show and have never gone to another concert but loved hearing that song first off. 8-)

If you don't mind... Why no more shows?

I don't like crowds for one, the venue sucked in my opinion and I had some arsehole blowing pot smoke in my direction just to be a dick the whole time. I don't enjoy attending concerts really. Just not my thing. The band sucked at that show in my view as well. They were just not on there game in my opinion. Attendance was half assed and the audience including myself were not that into it from my perspective anyways. So many people didn't attend that the ushers moved me and my ex-girlfriend 3 times.

Yea, that does suck. I find the opposite for Pearl Jam shows. The crowd is usually into it, and the band is full throttle. I love live concerts, but trust me, I have been to some bad ones and had bad experiences. Every PJ show I have been to was extremely memorable, and I'll never forget them.
