My parents told me that when they grew up in the 50's it was still common for parents to rub whiskey on a child's gums when they were teething (although they did grow up in Wisconsin . . . where for all we know that is still common practice

I think it's a very poorly written article with little statistical evidence supporting their claims. I'm sure that the netherlands is having huge problems with all the pot heads...even though stuff like cocaine, heroin, and many harder drugs are also tolerated there. Decriminalization will not spur more gang warfare or futher fund criminals in mexico when people can grow it here no problem. And yeah, a potshop in LA has 2 people murdered. i'm sure there are liquor store holdups in LA where people get killed...
i discovered that smoking weed opens up my mathematical brain.
i remember sitting in math class taking notes and writing math poetry.

Billy I,m not saying people don't make mistakes with out or with out pot or any other drug,but pot and other drugs do affect some/or a lot of peoples judgment and decisions and most people who have used any drugs would agree with that, the late 70's and 80's up till the early 90's were a wild times and know what the effects are and the loses involved there's not much you can tell me that I haven't already experienced and it all equates to wasted time and life,I was lucky and a lot of my friends were not so live and learn or learn from those around you.
