    Bonnaroo meet up!!

My RV Friday morning 10ish. Cell me at either 678-758-4118 or 678-925-8390. A little pre-party before Drive by Truckers takes the stage at 12:30 on the Which Stage! Ill have plenty of cold beer and most likely some hotdogs and burgers. For those vegans... BYOFood =]. You can even call me Thursday to hang if you want, I should be there around 2-3pm. Most people arent arriving til Friday so we will plan the mass meet-up then.
Fuck yeah! I know what kind of beer you guys will have! do you trade beer for live boots? :)

    Friday:

    Drive-by Truckers
    ??
    Les Claypool (part)
    Raconteurs
    Beer/Food
Metallica (probably just the second half or so and even then split a bit early to get a good MMJ spot)
    MMJ

    Saturday:

??? not really sure about the early stuff this day
    Avett Brothers (part)
    Ben Folds (part)
    Iron and Wine
    Jack Johnson

    Sunday:

    Abigail Washburn & The Sparrow
    Jakob Dylan
    Aimee Mann
    Plant/Krauss
Widespread (till I get bored, probably about 30 minutes)

The only real bummer is that I am going to miss Levon Helm, but Iron and Wine is like a top 3 act for the girlfriend, so we are going to be there.

I'm not going to Bonnaroo, but I've been before and feel like playing. For people planning on going to the comedy shows, take warning that there are often HUGE lines that start early and it gets to be a tough decision between waiting on line and going to check out music.

If I WERE going, I would do something like this:

    Thursday:
Get there around noon. Set up camp and eat some lunch.
Go explore and maybe hang out in the Brooers Festival Beer Tent.
Maybe go hit a few balls in teh batting cage.
Go back to my tent for dinner.
Go see THE FELICE BROTHERS around 1015.
Pass out and get ready for a LONG weekend.

    Friday:
Wake up at 7 am as my tent turns into a Tennessee Oven
Hang out and drink beers for the morning/afternoon
Go check out TEGIN AND SARAH in this tent.
Stick around that stage and watch half of SWELL SEASON
Walk over the main stage and see the end of RACOUNTERS
Walk back to my tent for dinner and relax a bit.
Head back over to the main stage for CHRIS ROCK and METALLICA
    Try to stay awake.
Go see a few MY MORNING JACKET SONGS and check out who's playing the SUPERJAM before going back to my tent to fall asleep with earplugs in.

    Saturday:
Repeat waking up at 7am due to overbearing heat
Check otu the WOOD BROTHERS set
Maybe go back to the BROOERS tent.
    Go see GOGOL BORDELLO
Go to main stage and see BB KING
Go back to tent for rest and dinner.
    PEARL JAM!!!!!!!!
Maybe watch a PHIL song or two but most likely go pass out.

    Sunday:
If i have a good spot, I'd probably leave early. If I'm trapped, I go into Centeroo for some iced coffee.
    See JAKOB DYLAN
Hang around a bit and see random bands.
Go see ROBERT PLANT AND KRAUSS
    Again try to go home.

    Thursday

Playing it by ear early the first day
    VIP party at 8:00pm
    MGMT
    Battles
    Dark Star Orchestra

    Friday

Drive-By Truckers or Electric Apricot in the cinema tent
    Stephen Marley
    Les Claypool
    The Raconteurs
    Willie Nelson
    Chris Rock
Metallica for a short time then get my seat for
    My Morning Jacket

Skipping the Superjam unless I get word that someone from PJ is part of it. I'll also check out the pit sometime Friday to see if I want to be in it for PJ the next night.

    Saturday

Get a spot in line for the pit early or a spot as close to the 2nd barrier (right behind the pit) as I can.

Might sneak away for some of Cat Power

Anyone heard of or planning to go see Newton Faulkner early on the Thursday? You should do if your either a guitarist or into your rootsy, acoustic stuff and want to see an entertaining show, he's quite funny. He does a hilarious impression of Kings Of Leon and he's got some great songs, he also covers Massive Attack's Tear Drop and has been doing an awesome version of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, hard to believe one man doing that song. Miss this guy at your peril!!

    He's also a PJ fan

Thursday: No must-sees for me, but a few maybes
Back Door Slam, MGMT, Lez Zeppelin

    Friday: Big Day
Drive-by Truckers, Umphrey's, Raconteurs, Willie, Chris Rock, 'Tallica, MMJ (probably will be resting after DBT to prepare for a long night though)

    Saturday:
Mastodon, BB, Jack, PJ (Really want to see Levon but I believe it would behoove me not to stray too far from What Stage)

    Sunday:
Jakob Dylan or Robert Randolph, Plant/Krauss (partial), Pat Green

I'm sure I probably won't make all of those and I hope to be able to check out some of the lesser known (at least to me) bands. I've been going one by one listening to a few tracks from each and putting checks by those who sound like they might be worth checking out like State Radio and Two Gallants
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all

Does anybody think that it would be too ambitious to do Les (4:15-4:55) > Raconteurs (5:00- 5:35) > State Radio (5:45-7:15)? Priority #1 between these three is State Radio. Would I be better off to just forget about the Raconteurs and secure a good spot for SR?
