anyway, looks like what happened here is some of us think that humans, being the only species on earth capable of actually changing the world for the better, are not doing as good as a job a we should be doing.

and some of us think that being the "superior" species entitles us to do whatever we want because that's "just the way it is".

w.m.a. is a favorite of mine and I carry the lyrics of injustice in my heart. We can always agree to disagree and learn from each others views. And yes Godfather does feel deeply and in reading many of his posts you'll see that. His feelings and experiences bring him wisdom and love that he shares with us. As you can tell I am thankful for that.
They say we are fashioned in the likes of our maker. I don't know about this but I see in us all stern and sympathy depending on the experience of the heart.
As far as that amazing man in my avatar, his life experience that gave us w.m.a. taught him and us many things, not only injustice.

Well sice you can't read ill explain what I wrote, I wasn't complaining, I am simply asking people that are bashing humanity to quit adding to the problem. Theres no complaining here, just trying to provide them direction on how to live without being a hypocrite... I didn't write this post because people aren't allowed to disagree with me, that is fine, but bitching at me and humnaity for using the earth, all doing this by sitting at home using wifi provided from towers that are placed in areas where they cut trees down and destroyed ecosystems, seems like you are doing nothing but adding to the problem.
So please show me where i was complaining?

thanks but i already know how to live my life devoid of hypocrisy. ive also learnt how to live my life without arrogance and with at least some humility, which seems to be a direction you coud perhaps steer towards.

i know you werent and i agree.. the numbers dont add up. but if you produce to excess in anticipation of... oh lets just say 8 billion people, then one day you are going to have 8 billion people. i understand our culture thrives on excess, but i think the time has come to learn new tricks and produce to sustain the population we have now.

no heidi i have no idea how much life this planet can support. but what i do know is the earth is still gonna be here when we are no longer and given resources are finite it stands to reason for our own preservation we try and learn to live sustainably... that way we can be here way longer than we will be given our current trajectory.

you mean the advancements we use in the destruction of the planet???

and i dont want to be just ok. i dont want there to be a time when the air cant be breathed, the land cant be farmed or the water cant be drank beacuse of those advancements... and im not just talking about in my lifetime, or my childrens' lifetimes... or even my granddaughters lifetime... cause ive got one of those now... im talking about forever barring a cataclysmic natural disaster.

Ironically, the past 100 years have pretty much been the reason why our world is getting worse. Industry, political instability, war, economic polarization, environmental damage and globalization just to name a few... if that's your idea of humanity then yes it is wonderful.
