my first concert was bryan adams. 1987. with t-pau supporting.
followed up by ac/dc then metallica.

before pearl jam came along, i was a big fan of glam. poison, motley crue, g'nr etc.
and from time to time still enjoy listing to them, can't pigionhole yourself to one musical style.
    big thrash fan too.

and although pj are my fav band of all time ever. i probably count appetite for destruction as one of my fav. cd's of all time.

Nothing wrong with being a fan of the "Reverend."

Hmmmm.....musical trespasses. I've seen Poison twice and have enjoyed every minute of it. Saw Bon Jovi in 95 and actually enjoyed that show. Dokken opened with George and Don when they decided to bury the hatchet for that one tour and absolutely loved that.

I really like the Scissors Sisters first album.
I also have James Blunts first album and can probably sing a long to a few songs.
I've seen Jethro Tull live a couple of times (not sure if that's a sin or not - I like it)
I've seen Tom Jones live (but it was at Glastonbury - so that makes it a little cooler I think)
I bought the music to the series Robin Hood (back in the days when Michael Praed was in it) by Clannad
    We have an Enya cd.
    We have some Marillion cd's
My first concert was Duran Duran.

Oh heck, could go on forever, not really sure what is a sin and what isn't.

I saw Duran Duran back in 2001. Great show actually. Nothing to be ashamed of there. I've got their greatest hits album.

Mine is... well I'm not going there

  • Here goes...........I like Creed. Went to a concert in 2002 or 2003. Forget. Jerry Cantrell opened for them. Loved the show. I have never thought they sounded anything like Pearl Jam nor that Scott Stapp was a Eddie Vedder rip off. So take that you Creed hating fuckers...........J/K

Ok, screw it here goes. I saw Hanson live last year. Show was free. In all honesty it was pretty decent. Not a Huge fan or anything, but they didn't make my worst concert list or my best (like I gotta see em every time they tour) but I left like: pretty decent show.

and I've seen styx and jackyl seperatley, and both of those bands were worse. May be more well known to older crowds, but worse.

T'pau - Man, I forget about them. I had a crush on their lead singer (from the Heart & Soul video) back in high school.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

Not a thing in the world wrong with Seger and he has TONS of great songs. Also, puts on one of the best shows you could ever hope to see.
Many folks would probably think this is a sin (my boys certainily do) but I enjoyed it nevertheless...went to see Journey last year
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all

I listen to Michael Jackson's Thriller and Off The Wall. ALL. THE. TIME. My kids love it too!!!!

Nothing wrong with that at all! Classic, classic albums. MJ is the man!

My musical confession: Listening to Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, and Britney Spears when I was younger when they were popular. I was a confused kid then. Luckily I was listening to the Beatles at the same time.

I think liking the Beatles is like washing the musical sin off of you. The Beatles can singlehandedly redeem you from any bad musical choice.

    Oh, and Led Zeppelin.

Fuckin A. I love, absolutely LOVE Bob Seger's music. The guy is a legend. I listen to him often and have all his records on vinyl. The Nine Tonight live album is phenomenal and favorite studio album is Stranger in Town.

    Oh, and Led Zeppelin.

Yep. I thank my father for playing The Beatles since I was born. He must've been playing them since I was a baby. The Beatles and Led Zeppelin mostly redeemed myself from my younger years. Then I heard Pearl Jam and they cured me completely.

OMG I'm gonna get so fuckin flamed for this......here it goes.

I have started to like a lot of the music that my dad listened to when I was growing up: Bee Gees, Elton John, Chicago, Neil Diamond, the Eagles to name a few.

Found myself a few years ago buying a bunch of greatest hits CD's of these bands/people.

Elton is pretty cool. I only listen to Terry Kather-era Chicago. After that, :( . Jimi Hendrix said to Chicago when he was touring with them, "Your guitar player is better than me." Eagles...I like Hotel California by them. I mostly just listen to their hits.

Bee Gees, no. I shouldn't talk after my confession.

    Here goes.

Saw Leona Lewis last week  . Last year I saw Take That. I can blame my wife for these but Take That were excellent. One of the best shows I've ever seen. 75000 women and 5000 guys, can't be bad.

I also quite like listening to Michael Bublé

Also I have to add this is one of my favourite songs of all time

I'm actually sort of lacking in my knowledge of his body of work... I pretty much know the hits and he did most of them. Something I noticed, though, was that he didn't really attempt the high notes on Tiny Dancer. I can forgive him that, though. He's getting old and it was still a great performance.
