I saw Daughtry last night. We sat thru 10 songs and left. We originally went to see one of my favorite bands, Lifehouse but did not leave as soon as they were done. I heard that Jason Wade of LH would sing with Daughtry at the end, but I could not stand it any more and we left. But I love Lifehouse!!!

I went to see Spandau Ballet last year. And I actually quite enjoyed it.
And I planted my bolo knife in the neck of mad John Finn. I took his wretched life.
Now I'm over near the bandstand, every hand moving on John Finn's wife...

OMG I'm gonna get so fuckin flamed for this......here it goes.

I have started to like a lot of the music that my dad listened to when I was growing up: Bee Gees, Elton John, Chicago, Neil Diamond, the Eagles to name a few.

Found myself a few years ago buying a bunch of greatest hits CD's of these bands/people.

Yeah, I gotta say Elton John too. Not the candle in the wind... but there's some weird nice tracks like "Ticking" that I really dig.

What's wrong with Elton John? The dude is a fantastic singer and can tickle the ivory's like it's nobody's buisness.

The Bee Gees are pretty fucking bad though.

Posted in the MOST EMBARASSING CONCERT thread no more than a month ago ...

I'm not ashamed because I'll go to pretty much any concert if I'm asked and it has at least something of interest, but, if there's one concert that raises a lot of eyebrows when I say I've seen her in concert ... it's Tiffany.

It was only a few years ago, too. Went to opening day with a bunch of work friends ... after the game, more drinking and dinner. Around 9 pm (so, 9 hours after our first drink) one of the girls (it always involves women, don't it?) got a call from other work friend saying a bunch of them were at a bar, and Tiffany was playing a show.

So, with some grousing and the provision that these ladies pay my cover, I said I'd go. It sounded like a hoot at the time.

There she was ... a mid 30s, "I Think We're Alone Now" Tiffany up on stage ... and actually, to my surprise, rockin' out on a few tunes. She also had a dirty hotness to her.

A tip for the guys, a Tiffany concert is a pretty decent place to see some hot ladies ... not gonna lie, the numbers were WAY in my favor.

    the ting-tings...
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

still might be going to see Roger Waters/Pink Floyd Wall tribute in the fall with a good friend. she says it should bump up my cool points a notch so that it will essentially cancel out my first concert ever--New Kids on the Block... :o  :( I was in the sixth grade, people. but I've been to probably almost 20 or so concerts since then, including about 6 Pearl Jam concerts, so I think I've already canceled out that skeleton in my closet. as far as coolness goes, well, I am still a dork. :geek: :ugeek:

Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

Elton John has some great, great tunes. I think two albums of this that are totally flawless are Honky Chateau and Madman Across The Water. They're both on regular rotation for me.

I've seen Neil Diamond 3x, enjoyed it each time. Chicago is ok, as long as it's not the Peter Cetera 80's years.

I went to see A-HA a few weeks ago.

Abba-esque by Erasure is a fun cd!
  • Moby's 18 album is pretty marvellous in my opinion.

I have all three Lord of The Rings soundtracks on CD (not, ahem, orginals but there you go) and they are most enjoyable.

  • I went and seen Richard Marx in concert about 4 yrs ago and loved every minute of it!

Loved, loved, loved Limp Bizkit when i was younger, have all of their albums and have seen them live.

My fav song atm is Nothing on you by B.O.B and Bruno Mars - usually not my type of music but i find this song very catchy and Bruno Mars has a great voice.

I've seen a bunch of really amazing concerts....
....being dragged by my mom to a Mariah Carey concert, however, is not one of them. When I talk about what concerts I've been to, that's usually left out, for obvious reasons :D

Oh man, it was awful. We left early (THANK GOD!)

Confession: I'm a huge Bob Seger fan, but not in a Kid Rock kind of way. It was basically the soundtrack to my childhood, a lot of his songs remind me of the golden years of my mom and pops still married and my brother and I when we were young.

    So...am I ashamed....not one bit. :D

That's the affects of brain washing, you are not to held accountable for this. Atleast your dad had good taste, i grew up on Barbara Streisand and Barry Manilow, it's amazing i'm not gay.

I had the same Limp Bizkit problem in high school. I loved em and saw them live a couple times.

It's crazy to look back and think about some of the shit I used to listen to. I went through all my CDs a couple months ago and must have thrown away 40-50 and just thought to myself..."what the fuck was I thinking???"

Not a bit wrong with Bob Segar. I'll be the first to admit I have spent many days listening to the Night Moves album.

I was brought up on many different kinds of music but my dad was always playing Dr. Hook, Kris Kristoffersen, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson etc and I've loved JC ever since and when KK toured for his 70th birthday in 07 we saw him in Edinburgh and he was superb! That's not really embarrassing but a couple of nights ago we had a Wayne's World moment in the car but not with Queen, it was Bat Out Of Hell

I've seen Jimmy Buffett twice.. He's pretty much dropped off my radar in more recent years, but he does have a fun live show. I heard that every bar in a 5-mile radius sold out of margaritas (not sure if I believe it).

Shit, I want to BE Neil Diamond. I saw him a few years ago and he was making out with one of his hot backup singers onstage. The man is a PIMP. I also saw Elton John around the same time. Two seriously kick-ass shows.
