For anyone that has been to Massey Hall, do you know where the box office is located to pick up the tickets?

Thanks!

the box office is located right at the main entrance of the building, you can't miss it,...

Yup, you can't miss it. :) I'm really looking forward to seeing Ed at Massey, it's been a while since I've seen a show there and I like the venue.

I'm including a link to Massey Hall's website. I chose the seating plan so we can all speculate as to where we might be sitting with our 10c seats. Come on LCF/RCF!!! :D

http://www.roythomson.com/seatingPlans.cfm (note: Roy Thompson Hall is also shown on this page so, just ignore it. :) ).

having been at both eV Vancouver concerts back in April, i can tell you the 10C tix will ALL be located on the floor, in the 1st 15 rows or so (give or take a row or two), spread amongst the entire floor (not just the center section).

tickets for the 1st row in the CENTER section, however, will be randomly distributed/swapped by a couple of 10C employees at each venue to concert-goers with upper balcony seats. the front row in either the left or right sections of the floor will be randomly distributed to 10C members,...

i need to edit the previous statement; the front row of the center section will be allocated for the 10C to swap upper balcony concert-goers into, and tickets to the front row in the side sections on the floor will be distributed randomly to 10C members. any and all complaints and questions can be directed here:

Aren't first row on the side sections obstructed? Not view, but sound wise...I think I remember hearing that..if so I doubt TCers will sit there. I don't believe all of the floor sides are obstructed, but just the first few rows.

    just an fyi

there is no thread RE: this topic. the aim is to surprise and randomly select concert-goers with upper balcony seats. and in case anyone is wondering: 10C staffers have to approach you (you being anyone with upper balcony seats) about swapping your tix for the front row seats - if you approach them and ask/plead/beg, they will not accomodate you (from what i've observed at both Vancouver concerts anyway),...

yes, that's correct. here's hoping, though, that those tickets weren't mailed to 10C's offices by Massey Hall staffers along with the rest of the tickets allocated for 10C members,...

I doubt it. I'm sure the venues make it known that those are obstructed. I went to buy tix in the past and those tix came up specifically saying they were obstructed - likely would say on the tickets as well.

I'll be happy with any TC tix..I mean if they get the first 15 rows or so I sure won't be complaining where I sit.

no doubt scalpers have already recruited several homeless to secure spots in line for tomorrow morning's sale,...

they only tell you if they are visually obstructed...but if its on a spot where the sound is shit...tix won't say nothing.
Lets hope that no 10C people get put on that extreme angle.

Yes I know...thats why I was a little annoyed to read about the random giveaway of tix in the centre.
I was talking to someone that went to some EV shows on the west coast (not Vancouver tho) and she said the tix swaps were for people with fanclub tix. So ie. say I get 15th row...10C upgrades me to the front. My tix then prob go to someone in the upper balcony.
Is that anything like what you saw?

incorrect. we sat 2nd row center at the 2nd Vancouver concert (WM3 Ticketmaster auction) and several people we spoke to who were sitting in front of us in the front row told us their original tickets were in the upper balcony.

this upgrade is entirely eV's decision, so why would he insist on upgrading 10C members sitting in the 1st 15 rows or so anyway?!

True...but why would Ed insist on giving 10C fans the side/unbstucted parts of the front row while non 10C people get a birds eye view??? Maybe we won't get those seats for this show...lets hope not.
I have no problem with the upgrade...will make for some real excited fans up front....I just don't want an obstructed view or sound ticket as a result is all.

i don't believe those obstructed seats will be in the mix, and my previous comments touched on my hope that those tix weren't sent by Massey Hall staffers to the 10C along with the rest of the 10C's tickets for allocation to 10C members.

IT IS AT ROY THOMPSON HALL

NO TICKETS ON SALE TOMORROW AT MASSEY HALL

and fuck everybody sqwuaking about where their seats are

some of us can't even get a fucking seat

totally let down by the 10 club - totally fucked over by crashing websites

one more try and then it's on to the scalpers - who I'm sure will have bought a shitload of seats online this morning

    fucking ridiculous

    I concur.

FYI I think the side front row seats at only obstructed sound wise, not visually (I could totally be wrong though). That said I don't care if I'm there. I mean sure it won't sound good, but how can you be unhappy with 1st row?..I mean there's gonna be hard core fans up in the gallery.

Edit: 100 Pacer is probably right..my memory can be foggy at times..maybe the first row (side) is visually obstructed.

Wow I knew someone would miss the line where I said I was just happy to be in the building....didn't think it would be you though.
I also said the upgrade is cool. Just didn't want someone to have an unbstructed view as a result.
I really hope that all who got shut out can get tix without having to go through a scalper.

some of us can't even get a fucking seat

totally let down by the 10 club - totally fucked over by crashing websites

one more try and then it's on to the scalpers - who I'm sure will have bought a shitload of seats online this morning

    fucking ridiculous

That sucks share. :( Honestly, I'm just happy to be going.

Good luck finding tickets! I hope you don't have to resort to getting gouged by a damned scalper!!!!

And you never know, someone might end up needing to unload their seats for face closer to the show dates...or need someone to come with them...

Keep hoping!!! Sending good luck vibes your way!!! :)

and I should add that some of the people who may have "regular tickets" - if we're lucky enough to get any - are 10 club members - many of us over 10+ years in the 10 club still trying to get one show

    I'm kidding about the scalper - I wouldn't - hey I couldn't afford it

thanks for the good wishes - hoping for a good night at Hemmingways!

worst case scenario, and i know this doesn't bring much comfort but it's worth mentioning: 50 tickets per show are released for sale ~5:30pm/6:00pm the day of each show at the box office, so lining up early wouldn't hurt.

    I disagree

I joined the 10 club for ticket access

I'm not ragging on them - I guess it's just something I've grown to expect

mind you the membership has gone up about 300,000

but it's business - they are a service provider and no longer a small bunch of people stuffing envelopes and mailing us our tickets

they're a multi million dollar organization now

I appreciate them - I just feel let down - that's not going to change

(move on? it's life? - no it's not - it's entertainment and buying tickets to a show - life is a little more than that)

That's interesting. But with the number of people out there who don't mind lining up overnight just to get closer in a show they already have tickets to, this could mean bringing a sleeping bag and a thermos full of coffee!!!

I hope those 50 tickets find their way to 10C members like share and not scalpers.

I agree totally. Good luck to all who are camping out.

if i didn't already have tix to both of eV's Toronto shows not only would i be lining up tonight for a chance to purchase tix during the sale tomorrow but also the day of the show for a crack at the extras that will be released. there will be, if they aren't there already, homeless that have been recruited by scalpers to wait outside the box office for tomorrow's sale,...

in Vancouver, the line for a chance to purchase tix released the day of the show didn't really form until ~3pm/4pm, believe it or not.
